Question about Sega Dreamcast Console
When I play my dreamcast, it sometimes just resets in the middle of playing. I can play for a few minutes or about an hour or so and it would just reset to the Dreamcast screen you get when you first power on the system, I tried different power cords and different connector cables.
Runken is right about it being the power supply board, but don't go slapping it about like in the video as there is an easy and permanent fix. The power supply pins need to be cleaned and pushed slightly so they lean on the contacts in the plastic connector they slide into. The link below will help but it only shows a PAL/European DC and does not demonstrate the slight pin adjustment required, when you look at the pins and the connector it slides into, it will be come obvious which way you need to push them and how little you need to push them, don't go mad and snap them or bend them really far!
Good luck and enjoy some DC gaming.
