I have no idea how this fellows HP attitude would have anything to do with me or Fixya..as you can see, I was moving him in a direction that would be useful for resolution of his issue. please advise the disposition of this situation.

Just so you know, I can't follow links to chats. I generally need the name of the customer and the date of the chat in order to look up a specific chat. Which chat are you talking about, the one with TITLE or the one with rocrich777? Looking at the transcripts from both those chats, I can't figure out what you're asking about. Please clarify for me. Thanks!

And please rate this a FixYa. I need to work my account up to Wiz or Guru so that I can view the site the way that you guys are. You'd think the company could just do it automatically, but they can't. :)

    I'm still not understanding what you're asking. What do you mean by "hp attitude"? The last like I'm seeing is where you say "how many listed items next to that audio codec list". It looks like rocrich777 then closed the chat. Please explain your issue to me more clearly.

Hi starwarryr. Click on My FixYa in the upper right corner of any page on FixYa (once you're logged in), then click on My Activity towards the middle of the page. You will see your Live Chat there. Clicking on that will take you to the transcript.

Hi Huw,

If your problem was unresolved, you can re-open the chat session - possibly with eske if he is available or with another expert if he is not. There is no additional charge for doing this - you only pay when the problem is solved and it does not matter if you previously accepted the solution.

I'm not 100% sure how you do this, but the first step is to visit your user area:

http://www.fixya.com/users/huw777

On the right hand side of your user page you will see your list of "Problems", one of which will be the live chat with eske. If you click on that problem from the list, you should get a transcript of the session and on the transcript page (or on your user page) there will be an option to reconnect to an expert or seek further assistance. See if you can find this. If not post back here and I will try to provide better instruction.

In addition, you should also email FixYa support and request a refund of the fee you have paid to post this message. Please quote problem/solution reference 7303110 in your email:

premium.support@fixya.com

You should not need to pay to find out how to have your original problem solved and you should not pay for the problem until it has been solved.

I hope this makes sense. Please let me know that you have been able to find out how to reconnect your original live chat session.

The live chat doesn't seem to have been disconnected since you accepted and rated it. It sounds like you accidentally ended it. But don't worry, open the transcript of the session under your profile where yuo can reply to my posts and continue the communication through email at no further cost. You may also check your email for the notification that I posted something on the transcript then click on the link to get to the transcript and reply.

Please inform the admin/billing people should you want to reconnect with me. They may reconnect you with me at no additional cost and instead use the one you paid for.

It seems I have just deleted the wrong PST file from my hard drive (and emptied my recycle bin). So I am trying to recover my last saved Outlook.PST file from my passport, and I'm at a loss of exactly...


You need recovery software.
Look online for Active recovery or Ontrack. I am not sure if you will have to buy the software to do the recovery, but, you can test the process and see if the file is recoverable without paying for it.
Ontrack is easier to use.
