Click the bluetooth icon on the title bar (if you have no icon go to the application folder-utilities and switch it on) and follow the drop down menu to enable discoverable and near the botton use the "set up a bluetooth device" feature

Go to system prefrences, on the second line down is the bluetooth interface (being a laptop it will de-activate bluetooth to conserve battery) click the bluetooth icon and click the "on" and "discoverable" options. You can now access the bluetooth menu from the top bar

Is the bluetooth icon in the menu bar? if so click on it and switch on (apple laptops are set to turn it off if not in use to conserve battery) If no icon open system prefs and open the bluetooth panel from there, make sure it is turned on and discoverable.

Make sure your phone bluetooth is on and discoverable.
From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences and then Bluetooth.
Choose the + symbol at the bottom left of that window and the assistant will guide you through how to set up and set pass keys.

Can you let is know what you've tried? You need to make the phone discoverable in the Bluetooth settings of the phone and then set it up through the Bluetooth option in Apple System Preferences. It should work fine, this phone works very well with a Mac.

What is the Code for bluetooth connection with Mac Book Air?

The code... (?)

There is no code for BLUETOOTH.

Select the APPLE icon in the top left corner... (menu drops down)

SYSTEM PREFERENCES should be about the 2nd line down

Select that line to Go to your SYSTEM PREFERENCES page

The BLUETOOTH Icon can be found near the center of that page.

The BLUETOOTH panel displayed by clicking
the ABOVE ICON has an ON/OFF

Moving it to the "ON" position ... it will say you are now discoverable as "MACBOOK AIR"

~~

APPLE.COM
Apple support Community... is available therein... It has a lot of discussion about "restriction codes" and the Apple CORPORATION's assertion that any issues from there are USER "forgetting" their own PASS-CODES (same as base user passcode)..

Apparently untrue:

My bluetooth will not work

Hi. For you to be able to use the bluetooth. Make sure that it is turned on. Go to Settings > General > Bluetooth > it should be ON.

And if I may ask, what are you trying to connect/transfer with the bluetooth connection? Because from what I know, iPhones can only connect from another iPhone device. It doesn't work with any other devices.

Hope this helps. Have a great day!

I just got the new Kin Onem. I have a macbook and I'm trying to set up the bluetooth connection from my phone to my computer in order to transfer files such as pictures. My laptop is recognizing that...

I believe the kin's bluetooth is only for pairing with headsets and possibly sending a file. I doubt it is possible to actually browse the phones file system from the macbook. Try looking for an option on the phone to send the file via bluetooth instead of trying to browse the phone from the macbook.

I just got a new iphone 3gs, having bluetooth

Hi, I have an iPhone also, you don't connect to other phones anymore, like if you did with normal mobile, if say you searched in a full room of people with the iPhone you would just find the printer in the corner!?!?, bizarre i know, but thats Apple for you, (2 steps forward, 5 backwards) you just connect to Bluetooth appliances like, your car, printer, pc/mac.. Thanks Mark

Bluetooth problems iphone

This is not strictly true - my iPhone connects wonderfully to my Plantronics Voyager 520 headset. It will not connect to other phones, headphones, etc. via bluetooth. It is intentionally crippled and will only connect to a headset via bluetooth.

My guess is that Apple sells songs and doesn't want you trading them around to your friends via bluetooth. Whatever the reason, it's quite annoying.
