Here is the process you need to do in order to connect your phone to a mac through bluetooth...
1. Go to system preferences 2. Click on bluetooth 3. Click on devices 4. Click Set up new device 5. Follow the set up steps and you're done

Click the bluetooth icon on the title bar (if you have no icon go to the application folder-utilities and switch it on) and follow the drop down menu to enable discoverable and near the botton use the "set up a bluetooth device" feature

- Go to system prefrences, on the second line down is the bluetooth interface (being a laptop it will de-activate bluetooth to conserve battery) click the bluetooth icon and click the "on" and "discoverable" options. You can now access the bluetooth menu from the top bar

- Is the bluetooth icon in the menu bar? if so click on it and switch on (apple laptops are set to turn it off if not in use to conserve battery) If no icon open system prefs and open the bluetooth panel from there, make sure it is turned on and discoverable.

Make sure your phone bluetooth is on and discoverable.
From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences and then Bluetooth.
Choose the + symbol at the bottom left of that window and the assistant will guide you through how to set up and set pass keys.

- Can you let is know what you've tried? You need to make the phone discoverable in the Bluetooth settings of the phone and then set it up through the Bluetooth option in Apple System Preferences. It should work fine, this phone works very well with a Mac.
