We have a Whilpool electric double oven model # RBD305PD. Out of the blue, it started to beep and there is no digital display on the control panel. The light function works and it sounds like it is firing up when you press the Bake button.

We have a Whirlpool electric double oven model # RBD305PD. Out of the blue, it started to beep and there is no digital display on the control panel. The light function works and it sounds like it is firing up when you press the Bake button & it warms up & locks. Then when you push the oven off it unlocks & then nothing. All this time there is no digital display. We tried turning off the breakers for a while, it didn't work. Then we turned off the breakers over night & it worked again. This happed on Christmas Eve 2008, now on January 26, 2009 it did the same thing. I tried the breakers again didn't work, so I tried the breakers over night & still didn't work.

Control panel goes black, and later shows "F2 E6", with occassional beeping sounds. When I hit "off", it is reset, but the error comes back again.

The control panel may have a power issue. Replacing the board fixed my problem. It looks like 4 resistors and a ZD1 diode heat up and fail. The U1 chip could also be a problem. If you replace the controller it will cost around $225. Be careful of the key pad ribbon cable. They break easily. Another $186. Good luck.

Electronic control panel went blank and oven is beeping

The first thing I would do, because it is an "electronic" control panel is to unplug your stove, wait about 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Your Control panel may just need a reset and reboot.
If it is difficult to get to your plug-in, then go to your household breaker-panel box, and flip the switch for your stove to the off position for at least 30 seconds, then switch back to on. ...That's the same as uplugging and plugging back in at the wall.

Hope this helped hun ;-)

When buttons are pushed, no beeping. even when timer is set to go off, no signal that the time has expired

If all other functions are working and you just lost the beep sound then you have to make this choice. The beeper is actually mounted on the main control board. If it has gone bad--the only way to fix it is to replace the complete main control board which is an expensive part. One thing to check in your owners manual is if your control has a way to change the sound level of the beeper. If yes--it may have accidentally got shut off if it has that type settings.

The child safety function
In order to avoid that children engage oven, it is possible to lock the oven controls. Press the two keys (as shown) and hold them for at least 3 seconds. The beep and "SAFE" on the display indicates that the child safety function is activated and it is not possible to select the temperature or a function of the oven.

Turned oven to bake it keeps beeping with message "door"

Oven keeps beeping:
As there is no reprogramming of most control boards try this, disconnect the power and wait 30 seconds and then reconnecting the power.

If it's an "F1" fault code this generally implies an electronic oven control (EOC) failure. Disconnect the power, wait 30 seconds or longer and then reapply power. If "F1" returns upon power-up, replace the electronic oven control.
The oven control can be accessed and replaced from the rear of the control panel.

NOTE:Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console.
If its an F2 ERROR CODE, The F2 error indicates an open circuit in the oven temperature probe.

Your range has a resettable thermostat in series with the oven temperature probe. If this thermostat opens the clock will display F2 and the oven won't heat.
You can reset the thermostat by pushing in the reset button on top of the thermostat.
Some ovens have an alarm that will beep continuously every six seconds to alert you that the oven is still on. Usually, a kitchen timer that you have set will cause the beeping, but occasionally it can be an error with the oven's settings. If it is the kitchen timer, you can simply push the "Kitchen Timer On/Off" button to end the continuous beeping. If that does not stop the beeping, it is probably beeping due to an error. You can turn the continuous beeping off but you may still need to troubleshoot the issue that is causing the beeping noise.

Control Panel has likely failed (circuit board). You can try removing the power wire from the back of the panel and then replug it back in to see if it resets the board, but Im sorry to say your likely going to have to remove and replace the control panel.

Oven beeped by itself and display went blank. Pushing any buttons only results in beeps. The oven controls aren't accessible and the oven doesn't actually turn on for use. We haven't used the self...

Hi- Wow - Honestly wish i had good news, but this is a little different critter. The touch membrane is connected to control board by a ribbon tape with a whole bunch of little contacts that can become corroded, affecting proper function. Display failure is usually a control fault, however, and unfortunately this board is one of the most expensive to replace. - Bravo on not using the 'self-destruct' function.-  The control still routes all the power through it's circuits, and failures under normal use are not uncommon.  Best option is a service call from a good tech in your area. This is a tricky one to diagnose. Find out cost to fix before repair.  Let me know if this info helps ya, have more if needed- Thanks-  Ed

Whirlpool Double oven - control panel stopped working

Atlanta...sounds like you may have a power supply problem or the panel is bad. Cut the power, open the unit up and see if there is a fuse in there or a reset. No good? Then replace the circuit board. They just, well, die sometime. Happened to my microwave. Some units may be available remanufactured. Look around on the web.
