HP psc 2110 all in one: check and remove cartridges (error)

I have a hp 2110 all in one printer. For some reason it keeps telling me to check and remove cartridge. I have done this half a dozen times. no matter what I try nothing seems to work. I've uninstalled and re-installed the software, nothing works. I've cleared the memory, shut it down, unpluged it I'm at a loss as to what to do. Have you any ideas. Thank you

it gave it to me when old cartridges were still there, like all of a sudden. I removed the color cartridge (which was already empty) and that apparenty fixed the problem. However, the same note (check and remove cartridge) appeared the following morning...

Did you change a cartridge that caused this note or did it give it to you when old ones were still in there ?

Usually it will give you that note right away and not wait till morning !!??
Try this if you haven't already.
open the lid so the cartridges center. unplug the power.
Take out the cartridges, use a clean cloth with a touch of water to clean the back of the cartridges where all the contacts are and do the same inside the cardridge carriers. Then do it again with some denatured alcohol. Make sure it is all dry then reinstall them making sude you here them click into place.
power in back up and you'll have to run the align cartridge utility if it doesn't do it autoomatically. Then a print test page.
good luck
Fran

hello, let me start by asking a question giving a few tips. Hopefully things will work out.

First, you said, "you have replaced the cartridge. "
Did you just replace it?

Remove the cartridge and make sure you take off the little sticker tab the covers the print head. I have had many customers over the years that have made this simple mistake.

If this is done. I want you to place the ink cartridge back in properly.
Next power off and unplug your printer.

Wait about 1 minute and plug back in a power back on.
at this point and time it should ask you to do a new new cartridge printer alignment calibration page.

If it does not prompt you to do so please refer to your manual on how to manually do one.

If you do not have your manual let me know. I can do further research and help you with that too.

More that likely this simple procedure will reset your printer and help it recognize there is a new cartridge placed in the machine.

hope my advice helps .. if you appreciate my help lease remember to leave a good rating and a testimonial.

If problem is unsolved please write back for more problem solving.

Print cartridge will not align

This could be an issue from remanufacturing. Try a new cartridge from HP.

Many manufacturers have hardware in the cartridge and the printer that tell the printer "new cartridge". When a cartridge is refilled, you can have that giving a "bad" message.

I wish that I could be of more help.

HP psc 2110 Printer keeps telling me to Align print cartridges. I follow the steps but it always comes up alignment failed and starts printing Instruction page all over again. I can print from my computer...

Press the cancel button. Then press the "setup" and top "copy option" buttons together to enter maintenance. Use the right arrow (right copy option) button to scroll through the options if you like, but then hit the cancel button to skip the alignment.
