This is the conversion chip and vertical deflection chip that need to be replaced
service mode will only make the color alignment worse since the conversion chip is failing so it won't align properly
it will need that repair

"Perfect Focus" problem on Samsung HCN4727W

You have a bad sensor, a bad digital convergence board, or the new board is not working correctly. I would start by swaping out the convergence board or exchange it for another one. Good Luck

Hitachi 53UWX10BA HDTV adjusting color

Hi, Your tv model has a small light blue color button inside for manual adjustmnet mode. You will have to remove the front covering below the screen. its just attached with velcrow. Then there will be a centre wooden pannel with the the switching box screwed to tv front with around six screws.Open this panel and look to the left corner of the chasis boards in front of a small metallic box. Thats the switch you have to press to get into manual adjustment mode. use remote to adjust the colors. once done press it again to exist. Visit www.fixurtvs.com to find out more about tv FAQs. Thanks if you found it helpful.

Small strip of video (about 3 in wide) in the middle of the scree

Just to be sure that I send you in the correct direction, does this strip look like a shrunken picture with no height? In other words is it a horizontal bar?

Thanks,
Dan

Accidentally changed height somehow while using remote, now "squeezed"

ou will need to adjust that via the service menu. Toshiba has 2 ways to access it on various models I will post them both. first way
1. TV turned on
2. Press 'Mute' button on the remote.
3. Press 'Mute' button on the remote again and hold.
4. Press the 'Menu' button at the TV.
You are now in the Adjustment mode
4. Use the 'Channel up'or"Channel dwn' to select the item.
5. Write down the old value of the item before changing.
6. Use Volume up and down adjust the value.
7. When you have made all the adjustments you want turn the set off to exit.

Screen cut off on the bottom - WT-42313 Mits 42"

Make sure your remote is the official Mit remote, and that it is set for TV, usually the far left setting at the top of the remote.

These remotes control many different devices. Some will allow video to work without allowing audio to work.

TV will allow all to work.

1 inch lines on top and bottom of screen

Is the picture overall too small by 1 in. on top and bottom? Or is it cut off by the lines?

If it's too small, look for an adjustment labeled Vertical Height. This may only be accessible internally, it's normally a service adjustment, not a user adjustment.

Your problem is a vertical deflection issue, either an adjustment or the vertical circuit requires repair by a technician. In the latter case, electrolytic capacitors are a likely cause.
