Question about Sharp AR-5316 Advanced Digital Imager Copier
I have purchased a brand new copier, i have removed all the transportation tapes and filled the cartridge with toner, but the unit will still not print copies, thay are always blank. i have tried to use the SPF tray with the same results, there are no alarms or codes displayed
The toner cartridge comes in a box and fits into the developer unit. The developer unit is held in the machine by one 'phillips head' screw (usually blue in colour). The silver bag that came with the machine is not toner but actually called a carrier. The developer unit needs to be removed from the machine and the carrier poured into it. Thereafter you replace it in the machine, secure the screw and re-insert the toner cartridge.
However certain settings have to be made on the machine to set the basic parameters for the optimal useage of the machine and this is only done by authorised trained personnel.
I suggest you contact your closest Sharp dealer and ask them to do the necessary.
