Question about Hasbro I-DOG AMP'D

1 Answer

Amp'd turns on but turns off after intro.

Idog is changed from "try me" mode to "on' mode. Reset button has been pushed. When i push the nose, it plays intro dance and music but turns off after. When i plug into speakers, it plays song while it does intro but then it turns off music when intro finishes.

Mine does exactly the same. When you push his nose he plays his intro song then plays my ipod for around 30 seconds but not for longer? My ipod is good so, that is not the problem.

I had this problem too, I was going crazy and worried about it, your iDog AMP'D Just needs new batteries, to change it, unscrew the metal screws that are located under it's back legs, and replace the old batteries with three new AA ones. Make sure they are good batteries!

Hope this helped!

Instructions
    • 1 Check that the iDog is powered on if it doesn't respond to your commands. Press its nose to activate the toy.
    • 2 Verify that the iDog has fresh batteries installed if the dog doesn't turn on. Use a Phillips screwdriver to open the dog's battery compartment, located on the its right back leg. Insert two new AA-sized batteries according to the "+" and "-" symbols listed in the compartment.
    • 3 Inspect the iDog's connection to your iPod if it doesn't move and dance to your iPod's music. Plug the iDog's connector cable into your iPod. The cable end labeled "B" gets inserted into the headphone jack on your iPod. The opposite end goes into the front left leg of the iDog.
    • 4 Make sure your iPod is powered on if the toy is connected to the media player and is turned on, but not moving to the music. Your iPod may need recharged by connecting it to a computer with its included USB cable.
    • 5 Reset the iDog if it continually freezes or stops moving in the middle of a dance. Use the tip of a pen, paper clip or similar thin object to press the reset button located on the bottom of the toy's head.

How do I stop motor motion of my I-Dog Amp'd while still playing music?

While your iDog AMP'D is in "Listening Mode", hold down it's tail, and press it's nose. Make sure that you keep holding it's tail down the entire time, even after you pressed it's nose. You should see a spinning light pattern, that signifys that the motor movements are off. To turn them back on, either turn off/on your iDop AMP'D, or do the same thing but hold it's tail upwards. If your iDog AMP'D growls instead, that means it was not in "Listening Mode", and simply wait for it to start showing light patterns to music, then try again.

Hope this helped!

How to charge a idog

You don't "Charge" iDog AMP'D, you change the battery pack located under it's hind feet. When your iDog does the intro when you turn it on every five seconds, that means it's time for some new batteries!

Idog wont do anything

Turn on underside near front legs. TAIL CONTROLS VOLUME FRONT TO BACK. Push nose and rub face. Connect to MP3 or Ipod switch the short cord end to end and sometimes that makes a difference.

When I went to turn my idog on it made these weird sounds

Check underside near front legs and switch the "on". Volume is tail front to back to change. Push the nose and rub the face and also try switching the connection cord end to end to the MP3 player or Ipod.
