Almost any make of w/m hose should be suitable as they are normally a universal fit. Have you tried googling for cenrtrex washer spares in sydney? Try www.streetsofsydney.com/au/sydney/w/washer-drier-parts-repair.htm

The tub fills to the top with water and overflows.

Check the small air hose on the pressure switch located inside the operator console. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3575901-washer_overflows

The hose can sometimes come loose from years of vibration. If the air hose is attached, check for any splits, cracks or holes in the air hose. If the air hose is not air tight, the pressure switch will never detect the water pressure differential from the wash tub as it fills. If it never detects the pressure, it will not shut off the water inlet valves.

If you verify the air hose to be installed correctly with no leaks, replace your pressure switch. Replacements can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices will vary, so shop each site and compare. The first three sites listed, also include helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you.

If you have any questions, please post back with your complete MODEL NUMBER (located on a nameplate under the wash tub rim under the lid) and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

Ge wahing machine is leaking only when it drains or spins. never when it just fill and agitates

A washer that leaks only during the spin and drain cycle often has a leak in the main drain hose. Inspect the entire hose and correct any problem you find. Alternatively, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. This may be most visible during large loads and high water levels. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make.

Leaking washing machine

The leak is probally coming from the drain pump itself or the discharge hose onnected to the pump. This is easy to check and replace. This video should help

I have a centrex ctw60518 6kg and i need to replace the tub to pump hose but can not find one anywhere i hope someone can help, i live in qld .

Sorry, but as far as I know, there are no parts available for Centrex appliances. Centrex are cheap Target brand machines, and if they fail under warranty, they replace the machine. Out of warranty, you're out of luck. I'm a tech in NSW, and have not been able to source any parts here at all. One thing you could consider is calling the Fair Trading Office, as it is reasonable to assume you will be able to get parts for a washing machine less than 10 years old- they may be able to advise you further. Also, try going to the retailer you purchased machine from, and ask if they have a supplier of spare parts. Good luck!! PS. you could also try taking hose into your local appliance repair shop, and see if they have a hose off something else that might fit- a lot of hoses are similar.

it sounds like you have a leaking pump, or a hose has been split, or chewed through by vermin

GE Profile top load washer purchased 2003 water comes out from under washer when spin and drain cycle on. this not mentioned in trouble shooting area. think it is water pump or whatelse can it be?

It has to be in the water exit path somewhere - is there a pump sump inspection? Is there a hose split? Likely the drain hose, or where it connects to the machine. Has the pump split open? Can you remove the machine cover and inspect it while it is doing a cycle so you can see where the water is coming from?

Washing Machine leaks intermittantly

It leaksYour washer can develop several types of leaks. You can track down a leak based on when it occurs:

During fill only
During drain and spin only
All the time

During fill only
If the washer leaks only during the fill cycle, check these:

Air-gap device -The air gap is a small device found on most washers that prevents the wash water from being siphoned into the household water supply. It's located either mid-way along or at the end of the black rubber hose that comes from the water-inlet valve. Often it's made of translucent plastic. If one of the air-gap components deforms or cracks, you may need to replace it.

The tube -There's a rubber tube that runs between the water-inlet valve and either the air-gap or the inlet spout. If it cracks or breaks, it can cause a leak.

Inlet spout -Most washers have a plastic spout near the top of the main clothes tub that directs the water into the tub. If the spout cracks or breaks free of its mounting, it can cause a leak.

During drain and spin only
A washer that leaks only during the spin cycle often has a leak in the main drain hose. Inspect the entire hose and correct any problem you find. Alternatively, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. This may be most visible during large loads and high water levels. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.

All the time
If the washer leaks all the time, check these:

Hot and cold water fill hoses - Check the hot and cold water hoses from the household plumbing. If either hose is leaking, tighten it or replace it, as appropriate.

Main tub seal - The main tub seal is located between the transmission and the outer tub. It's the primary water seal in the outer tub for the transmission-shaft entry point. If this seal leaks, you can see the leak by opening up the machine's main access panel while the machine is full of water with a small amount of detergent in it. The leak appears at the underside of the outer tub, at or near the center. This seal is difficult to replace. You probably should call a qualified appliance repair technician.

Pump - If the pump leaks, you can probably spot the leak when the tub is full of water. The pump has two or more black rubber or plastic hoses attached to it and usually has a drive belt that spins the pump. If the pump is leaking, you need to replace it.

Outer tub - Over time, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.

Front loading washing machine is having leakage problem

You need to work out where the water is coming from, either the front, back left or right hand side to give you an idea what/where to look.
Front - Open the door and check the door seal (usually grey rubber round the door) look for splits, chaffing, damage.

Rear - check the connection to the pump, there will be a (Black) rubber hose from the drum housing about 12-18"long, check for splits, connection etc.
Check and remove the pump itself, Isolate the electricity, to remove - disconnect the outlet hose from below the sink or upstand, lower the outlet hose to the floor and syphon off the water into a bowl from the machine, there will be some even if the machine appears empty. disconnect the plug on the pump (2 wires), disconnect the hoses from the pump (2 off) and check inside the hoses, bra wires, socks etc. look inside the pump for foreign objects, the pump can be wasily split open via 3 screws normally, refit in reverse order.

Top - remove the top cover usually 2 screws at back or side and will slide slightly to remove, check hoses to drawer and the hose below drawer to top of the drum housing, check the inlet solenoids at the back (where the water hoses connect).

hope this helps

Washing machine letting water out on large loads

this sounds like the hose that connects the soap drawer to the drum has a split in it, within the folds, when the machine is empty the folds are closed and the water runs where it should, when loaded the folds are open so the machine leaks, check the hose and replace it, make sure it is located at both ends properly, that is the problem,, if i have helped rate me pleeasse
