To my best of knowledge this is not possible or this can be done you have to program a macro, for this please consult a good programer
The option for protecting spreadsheet for a certain period of time is not there. You can only set a password. To do this follow the steps :
1. Click on the Microsoft Office icon
2. Click File --- Save As
3. At the bottom of the File Save As window Click on Tools-Option
This way you can set a password and also modify it.
Thanks.
Once you click on Tools - Option you will find two option there ;
1. Password to open a file
2. Password to modify a file
So you can give the password to all the user for only opening the file so that they cannot modify it. Keep the Password to modify to you only and dont give that password to anyone.
Hope this will be of help to you.
Thanks

Sorry i cant help more mate.

You can only put a password to the spreadsheet but there's no time expiration option, perhaps it isn't possible to do it.. Its an MS Excel limitation.

I have found a solution. A program called LockXls. It provides all the answers for time limitation etc
