Speaker and ring tones on my BlackeBerry Curve 8310 won't work

The speaker and ring tones are not working - The phone doesn't ring at all no matter what profile I choose and the speaker also won't work, but if it plays the music I have in my music folder without a problem. Anybody has any solutions?

I have the same problem! On the normal setting, before it stopped working, it sounded a little distorted. Now the speaker doesn't work at all for any of my ringtones. Help!

    Thanks!

I have the same problem - I cannot get my speaker to work for any profile. It also does not work if I try to take a call through speakerphone, it will only work on the handset.

When my phone is in the holster, it will vibrate two times, then nothing. No ringtone. If I am making a call and activate the speakerphone, I can't hear anything. It only works with the handset. I took the battery out for 5 seconds and put it back in - but still no fix. Any other possible remedies?

I just had this problem. It went away after a battery pull. Here's what I think happened: I had the speakerphone on. The other party hung up and the call disconnected - I assumed speaker would go off by itself but it seems to have not relinquished its hold on the phone's speaker.

The only time I've see this happen, is when someone uses a memory card that's too large for that model of phone.

That phone can only handle a 4gb max memory card. Anything larger won't work, and can lock up the phone.

I jus purchased a motorola EX115..starling.. bt d speaker isnt working at all...its absolutely blank..d ring tone isnt ringing..n d songs cant be played n speaker mode eidr... please help me out!

I hope you found solution to your speaker issue by now. I thought I would post any way. You must have your phone sound profile set to ring (not on silent) in order to listen to different ring tones. When listening to your music or radio you must use earphone. I hope that helps.

No ringtone no sound in speaker . i can receive call

Your ringing speaker may get damaged. You can open the cover of your phone and just press hardly where the ringing speaker is situated. Then check with any ringing tone if the ringing speaker is working or not.If its work you can contact a mobile phone service center and tell him to clean the connection of your ringing speaker and mother board.

Or you need to change the speaker to get rid of it

My phone makes no sound when it rings. Some days it does and some days it doesn't. When this happens, the loudspeaker doesn't work either.

Your ringing speaker may get damaged. You will not hear in loudspeaker because when you on loud speaker its connect to ringing speaker to get you the voice loudly. You can open the cover of your phone and just press hardly in the top that your ringing speaker is situated. Then check with any ringing tone if the ringing speaker is working or not.If its work you can contact a mobile phone service center and tell him to clean the connection of your ringing speaker and mother board.

I guess it may help you.Thank you

My BlackBerry Bold 9000 speaker/ringer is not working. I could only use the vibrate profile in order to find out that I have a call.

ive had customers with same issue...try there, go to options, themes, press the app menu key and click on reset default theme and remove the battery for one full minute...tested if it doesnt work it might be the speaker thats stoped working

Replacing a blackberry 8310 speaker

Hello.. My labradore puppy has recently taken a liking to my blackberry curve and decided to have a go at the casing. I found this link on youtube and another blackberry site for replacing the casing.

Within this video you will see once the casing is opened that you can manually ( press ) out the external speaker and replace it the same way.

I hope this helps.
