Lexmark T640 LCD blank..


To check if this is a hardware issue, please print a menu settings page. The purpose of this diagnostic is to check if this is a software issue or a hardware issue.



1. Press Menu to display Menus.
2. Press "down" until the "check" appears next to Reports.
3. Press "Check".
4. Press "down" until the "check" appears next to Menu Settings Page.
5. Press "check".
The message Printing Menus Settings appears on the display.
The printer returns to the Ready state after the menu settings page prints.


If the menu settings page printed without the dots, this would be a software issue. In that case, please call our Technical Support Hotline on (800) 539-6275.

Is there any kind of option to print on both sides in Canon LBP2900 printer?


To print both side automatically you need a hardware called Duplexer. Cannon Laser Shot LBP-2900 dont support Duplexer. You need to manually turn the paper everytime.

Printer will not print


please understand that this is an issue with the printer hardware and not the cartridges.so dont waste ur money purchasing new in cartridges hence refer to this document

After calibration the first print is fine.. 2nd print to label seems to backup into the printer before the next print ..result in text missing info... workaround is ..I need to pull the label out a little...


Sounds like you are printing from Zebra Designer, if so all you need to do is click File/Printer settings/Advanced setup/tick the box marked "Top of Form Backup" OK, and then save your label file.

No text prints when I print from my documents.

You may try to change the spool data format:

1. Click on "Start," "Control Panel," "Printers and Other Hardware" and "Printers and Faxes."

("Start," "Control Panel," "Hardware and Sound" and "Printers" for Vista...)

2. Then, right click on the Lexmark printer icon and left click "Properties."

3. Either on the "Advanced" tab or the "General" tab for some models, there is a "Print Processor" button, left click it.

4. This is the spool format setting. Under "Print processor" it should be set to "Lexmark *** series print processor." Next, under "Default datatype," select "NT EMF 1.008."

5. Click "OK" and exit back out to your desktop.

6. Try printing again.

Cant get the printer to print from the computer . scaner will scan to computer but printer will not print . it says it has printed but it dont do it


Please check your printer hardware. just move it to other pc or laptop and try it to print. if it still persist, contact your seller for replacement if it still in guarantee

Printing problem for Brother MFC-8440


I dont believe this to be a printer hardware issue since you said it prints excel documents fine. If it were hardware related, it would genarally do the same thing to anything that is printed. I would advise you to download the latest and greatest driver for your printer.(make sure to download the correct one that jives with your operating system) I found this mirror site for your needed download if you need it... THS Error on warrantee printer tally serial printer


The print head operating temperature may need to be calibrated for the operating environment of the printer.
The print head cable may be damaged or incorrectly plugged into the print head or logic board.
The print head may have a fault.
There may be a fault on the logic board or interconnect board

The first thing that I would recommend doing would be to calibrate the print head operating temperature, this can be done in the following way;

·Start with the printer powered OFF and at normal room temperature
·Hold down the ONLINE and SETUP button and power the printer back on
·Keep the ONLINE and SETUP button held down until the display reads ‘PRINT TEMP. CAL’ along the top line
·Press the button under ‘TEMP CAL’ (button 3)
·Using buttons 2 or 3 change the Temp Setting to match the temperature of the room the printer is used in (change this value by at least 1 degree even if it is correct to force the printer into recalibrating.
·Then press SET to save the settings.

Once the Temperature has been recalibrated power the printer OFF and back on again, this should resolve the problem.

If once the print head temperature has been calibrated the printer displays ‘Head Hot’ or alternatively displays a ‘THS’ error this indicates the printer has a hardware fault. The next step would be to identify which part may be causing the problem.
I would recommend first checking the carriage cable to ensure this is not damaged and makes good contact at each end. Then you would need to look at a logic board or print head failure.

Finisher keeps acumilating print jobs assuming they are not separte ones.


It is possible that the hard drive in the copier is about to fail. Has it gotten worse??
