What do you mean? Excessively hot or hot. The televisions tend to run warm, but if it is too warm usually there will be malfunctioning, check your cooling vents to make sure they are not filled with lint, and listen to the fans run through the cooling ports. If you do not hear a fan and you think your TV is too hot most likley it is the fan, if the fan is on and the vents are clean. The TV is probally at its normal operating temp.

How do I connect a soundbar to my polaroid tv it only has a headphone out .the sound isn't very good

The coax out is a digital sound output. You can not use that on your soundbar. The sub out is for hooking the tv to a subwoofer (bass only). You gonna have to use the Headphones output, buy a good 3.5mm to rca cable preferably one with a built-in noise filter so it can attenuate the "hum". Also try lower the volume on the TV so you can have less distortion. That's all!

Hi, I was given a 32inch hd technika tv for my children and it keeps turning off on its own once its been on normally for a while. Ive noticed its when it gets hot and goes off more when playing the xbox....

Good day!!!!

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

If the capacitors is faulty you can turn on the TV after a many times to attempt until it is totally dead..

I hope this information will be helpful...Thanks for using fixya...

Are you aware that all the new HDMI devices have interactive technologies . For eg: if you are watching cable TV and switch on your Blue ray player connected via HDMI, you will notice the TV will automatically switch to that HDMI input with you having to pick up the Tv remote and switch manually. Some find it irritating, but you can disable that function in your system Menu. Panasonic calls it Vierra link / Sony calls it Bravia sync etc.....

if its only on one device, then its the cable or device
if both are distorted, the jacks are prob getting loose, you can usually resolder and fix them.

Samsung LE26R51BD HDMI PROBLEM

Sounds to me like you need to change your input feed oin the settings menu of you TV to HDMI. If it doesn't work then you can either return the DVD player because using an HD DVD with a non HD capable TV is pointless, or you can upgrade to an HD TV.

Not likely, you'll most likely have to get a brand new TV.
