Lost my Insignia Bluetooth Headset Disk

I have the model NS-BTHDST and I need the driver...

The Insignia Sites driver does not work and I need a copy of the disk if possible.

I have tried broadcom as well.

Try this driver...It comes from HP for a wireless bluetooth driver but if it installs it should work for you.

That sp34842.exe link wont work. It may work for some but mainly only works for HP dv9000 Laptop Users.

I am taking the file off the host in 2 days.

The insignia headset uses the broadcom WIDCOMM Bluetooth software. The version that came with my headset is 5.1.0.3900. I loaded the update from the broadcom website at

http://www.broadcom.com/products/bluetooth_update.php

and 5.1.0.4200 was loaded and worked.

Plug it your usb bluetooth, i have the same one with the same problem and fixed it

go to >start >right click My Computer > properties > device manager >
find the yellow flag next to your device, right click it, properties.... now update driver, and allow windows to search the internet to automatically find the driver and it will install for you .... hope this works for you all as well.

Same here. I just called them and really got angry with them. What a useless bunch of free loaders working over there. I told them the driver on the site has 4 files only which do nothing. He didn't believe me, then proceeded to lecture me about my windows being corrupt. I understood very quickly that no help will come from them. I also lost the CD and for the life of me can't remember what happened to it.

If anyone has this the driver that can be posted, this would be a life saver. the headset itself is not bad, I have it working on vista (before I lost the CD) but want to install in also on my XP machine and can't at the moment.

the code on the PC side should be 4 zero's, there is no code to set on the headphones side of things, just power the headphones on and on the PC set to serch for new devices.

How do you pair your Insignia Headphones/ Headset with a PS3? It is called an insignia NS-BTHDP/NS-BTHDST. In the instructions it only talks about pairing it with a computer. Can someone help me?

Go to Accessory Settings on your PS3.Then go to mange bluetooth devices and hit register new device. while doing this take your headset and put it in discovery mode. You do this by holding the power button and the it alternates between blue and red lights. It should work after that.

To test it go to audio device settings and see if it shows up.

Bluetooth NS-BTHDST won't turn on

1- Plug the charger into a power outlet and connect the headset
2- Press the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons at the same time for resetting the device.

To Insignia: Please provide a line covering/linking this problem in Troubleshooting section of the manual, too. I found it in the Resetting section on page 22.

NS-BTHDST NOT WORKING WITH MY LAPTOP ANYMORE

If you are indeed talking about your Insignia bluetooth headset the reason it works with your cellphone is probably because your phone is already bluetooth enabled, but your laptop is not, which is what the usb dongle is for. You must install the drivers for the dongle for it to make your laptop bluetooth enabled. Once you have that working you need to go to Bluetooth places (should be on the desktop once the driver is installed) THEN hold the button on the headset down until the lights flash blue and red alternating. Once it is flashing, click on add new bluetooth device in the Bluetooth Places and it should pick it up. Once that is going everything is pretty straighforward...follow the wizard. Hope this helps!
