Not sure where to obtain new ins...

i was given a computer with a newer windows on it. XP. i had to take it back down to factory. i am told now that the person i got it from no longer has the recovery installation disc for the drivers. I am having trouble hooking it up to the internet to try to obtain software via internet. what do i do or where do i turn to get this and is it very costly?

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager. Look under the question mark and see if your network card is listed. If it is listed under the question mark, you don't have the drivers installed for it and you will need to get them from another computer in order to get the internet to work.
