Question about Evesham Nav-Cam 7700 GPS Receiver

6 Answers

Nav-Cam 7700 I deleted the cities folder from my Nav-Cam 7700 while loading the software again. There is no cities folder on the CD that came with the unit. Do you know where I can get the cities folder so I can load it back into the unit? Nav-Cam seems to be out of business.

Actually, I have all maps and software loaded on the unit. I am getting an error message that at least one metro area has to be loaded. I am not sure what this means as all maps are loaded on the system.

Hi,

To my knowledge, the Evesham Nav-Cam 7700 GPS navigation system maps are stored on a 256MB SD (secure digital) card. Most versions comes pre-loaded with UK and Ireland maps which as you posted was erased. It is is basically the same as AA Navigator Vive! with a different logo but the same navigation software. I was made to understand that both uses the latest V9 Navteq maps. Pls contact Navteq and confirm.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

there is the software guide for you it has everything you need. If you have other issues you may need to replace the unit as you said it seems they are out of business. I would invest in a tom tom or something of the likes that is very reputable.
Thanks,
Lee

I need to update my nav cam 7700

In the box that came with your Nav-Cam you should find a software disk and a USB cable. Install the software on your computer and when prompted connect your Nav-Cam. Follow the on-screen instructions to update the software.

The "Origional" software will not allow you to input a street address. The newer N30 software will input street addresses, as well many more POI's, as well as via directions. I have the original software, plus the newer N30 software. Let me know if I can help! Joe

REQUIRE A MANUAL

The manual is on the cd that came with the unit. If you don't have the cd, email me at hcbern@verizon.net and I will send it to you from my cd rom.

Maybe you can help me with a problem. Would you be able to copy the cities file from the unit and email it to me?

it sounds like a defective unit, but it may just be a corrupted SD card.

Nav-cam 7700

the last update that i got in april was corrupt, just by deleting this one file, solved my problem.

But now my subscription has expired it comes up with a message about camera warnings disabled. you can reset the unit to 2007 to fool it, but after a while it comes back. Is there a way to get around this.
After all we have all paid for the previous updates, so to not get any camera warnings is a joke

Had you downloaded new camera positions? I had to delete everything on the SD Card and reload it from the "card back up" on the CD. Good luck

Nav-cam 2007 stuck on navigator loading what should i do to get it working again.

I have the new N30 version of the NAV-CAM 2007 software.
Here is where I posted the links:

http://www.driveway.com/i1EvQzR8FL
http://www.driveway.com/G3N0Y5jQ4s

When you finish the downloads, you need to unzip all the files, then copy the map files into the maps folder. Once this is done, copy the entire thig to the SD card and enjoy! Joe
