Question about Kenmore 53642 / 53644 Side by Side Refrigerator
The ice dispenser constantly freezes up and needs to be defrosted. WARM AIR rises thru the dispenser, cAusing melting and refreezing. This results in an ice jam in the ice impeller. Any suggestions?
Check your ice dispenser door flap,is it coming all the way down?there is a solinard that opens and closes it,it might be going bad,if you can get in to it it might just need alittle lube, what make?let me know what you find-mike

If the ice door is open that will need to be repaired
first before solving the ice melting and stopping the ice auger from moving.
What may be happing is the ice door stuck open causing warm moist air from outside
the refrigerator to be drawn in covering everything with frost and possibly locking down auger and causing the
refrigerator to run continuous. What is the model number found around the fresh
food section? Thanks Sea Breeze
