Generic problem for all Goldstar Microwave Ovens

When our microwave is in use there is a funny smell coming from it. It almost smells like an electrical issue. The microwave is 4 years old. The model is MV1502W. I took out the motor that turns the glass plate but I couldn't tell if this was the problem. Any suggestions would be great.

Has there been any arcing or charring ?
Sometimes grease or food particles can get trapped in crevices or on the waveguide cover / splatter shield.
Any unusual noises? Is it louder or quieter than usual?
