This can be caused by hardware or software. Eliminate the hardware by running a diagnostic check. To do this, hold down the <FN> key and push the power button. If hardware checks out, you probably have a software, virius or spyware issue.

My computer runs really slow, freezes, internet explorer hardly ever works. help!!

There is no such thing as a windows vista machine. You can install different operating systems on different machines. Your problem is most likely that you're missing drivers for the peripherals.
Download a program called "driver easy" and run it. It will tell you what drivers are missing, once you get all the drivers installed you should find things work better, like once you get your network running then internet explorer will stop having problems.

Slow, stalls, freezes up

If your hard drive is too full, then your computer is going to perform slower. Delete old files which are not required.

Remove programs that you are no longer using. Delete temporary files.

Empty your recycle bin. Right click on Recycle Bin. Click Empty Recycle Bin>Yes.

Run an error check on your computer. The error check can remove errors that slow down your computer. If you are using Windows, you can do this by clicking Start>My Computer. Right click on your hard drive (typically c:) and then select Properties. Click the Tools tab>Check Now and then Start.

Clean up your registry. You can purchase software that will fix any registry errors on your computer.

Perform this computer maintenance on a weekly basis.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 and receive the STOP: 0x0000007E error message

That usually denotes a Hard Drive error, or the like. All is not lost though. Try this..... Startup PC, press F8 at instant of turn on... choose Safe Mode. when you are asked if you want safe desktop or system restore choose restore, when you get to the restore menu, choose a date BEFORE you had problems there may only be one or two to choose from. just follow the instructions and you should be back to working with all that behind you.
If this doesn't work I have given you a link below to help you further if needed. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330182

Inpiron 1501 keyboard working slow

Does the issue occur in Safe Mode (Press F8 at boot, select safe mode) If not then a program is likely conflicting, run a virus and spyware scan. If the issue does occur in safe mode, try adjusting keyboard settings in COntrol panel

My laptop keeps making beeping sounds when i type.HELP!!!

Do a system restore to a point previous to the power failure shut down. It sounds like the abrupt shut down glitched the system.
