I have a 2005 Equinox that makes terrible noises in the front end (wheel). I have replaced the axel and it has began to do it again only now the noise is a thump, thump, growl. What is going on?

The car began making clicking sounds last year. We had a mechanic look at it and he suggested a new axel (passenger side is where the noise came from). After placing the new axel on, the car squeaked. Three months later, it began to thump, thump, growl when driving and turning the wheel, but only in dry weather. Now, the care does it all the time and is getting louder. It also has a click, click from the drivers side now.

Sounds like you might have a bad wheel bearing.

SOURCE: my 1996 ford taurus makes a growling noise when i

Does the red fluid have a metalic look from little metal particles? If so, then it is time for a new or salvage yard pump. Not hard to tell. Just put something up against the pump and listen to that up to your ear. You will be able to tell of the pump is the source of the noise or not.

2005 Equinox has vibration through the steering wheel at 65 miles per hour.

check condition of front tire, also the balance of the fronts 65 is a common speed for tire vibration. do not overlook steering play(tie rods, ball joints) also bent wheel. any noise? could have wheel bearing issue. lots of places, like vip, pepboys, etc. will check front end for free hopeing to sell you a part. not bad deal because you do need "something" even if it is tires balanced.

I replaced hub on front axel but the noise is

It sounds like it is a front end suspension problem. The following should be checked: upper and lower ball joints, the sway bars links, and even the shocks. Replace what is problematic, and your front-end noise should disappear, if it is a front suspension problem. Hopefully, this will FixYa problem!

Front end rattle

It's a loose steering column. Remove the black plastic shield under the steering wheel. Lossen the bolt that holds the two shafts together, slide them together as far as they'll go, and re-tighten the bolt. It's that simple... to stop that annoying rattle.

Subaru cv axle noise?

Do you know if this car has ever been recked? if your going thru that many axels makes me think something is not running true, a wheel bearing would not make a cv joint in a axel go bad. Did you replace the axels? or did you have them done at a shop, and did you see the old axels after they were replaced. You got bigger problems than a wheel bearing. From what i can gather some thing is bent or your getting bunch of bad axels witch i dought.
