Mine is the same way, to solve this I elevated the bottum by 2 inches, then i kept it off, also i blow a fan on it while running.
also, you need to clean the filter (the gray "L" inside) black dust should come out.
lastly, mine actually broke because it overheated.

The manual says if you are getting this clicking noise that the imager is loose and to take it out and reinsert it. This is the device that all the toner cartridges are inserted in. It just Pops out so it is easy to remove and reinsert. What happens is it gets loose in shipping sometimes and just needs to be reseated.

Can't believe the geniuses at Samsung didn't respond to this. I had the same problem and as usual, I started tinkering. Two solutions: 1. Remove the used toner reservoir(located left on the toner cartridges...light grey, "L" shaped object) and discard(be environmentally aware). Replace with new one. or 2. (My choice) Remove reservoir, empty contents carefully. Wash thoroughly with cold water until water is clear. Dry thoroughly with paper towel and blowdryer. Light must be clearly visible through the little magnifying bubble on the side. Works everytime. Be patient. This takes about 5 minutes. Can be very messy if you are not anally retentive as I am. :) Al
