System board for Acer Travelmate

Hi can you please let me know what system boards are ok to put into an Acer Travelmate 2484WxMi laptop?

I need to replace the system board in mine, which is a couple of years old and currently has an Intel chip.

Any help you can give me would be very much appreciated.

Go to E-bay and research the sellers there, that is where I purchase all my boards. There is an unlimited amount of availability there.

Travelmate 4000 memory upgrade

Usually the system board will have problems with the 533 Mhz. You will get errors and/or may not come up at all.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

The cable from the LCD going into the system board is loose or bad. Here is the service manual for your laptop.:

Mother Board CD for ACER Travelmate 240

Unfortunately the Travelmate doesn't come with any other way to format the computer to factory settings. However you do have 2 options. The first is to contact Acer who still provide OS discs for your laptop (They will charge you $49.95 including shipping). The second is to use a free Operating System such as Linux. I recommend Ubuntu www.ubuntu.org as it is very easy to use, has a great community support group and you can try by using a Live CD before formatting.

90% of it's the inverter board, the other 10 could be a bad fl tube in the lcd itself.
