I just answered this for someone else; this sounds like a power control board problem. Basically something has short circuited and if you're hearing popping from the back and not the speakers it a power problem. If you're hearing it from the speakers but no picture then you need to replace your control board.
Try a reset to default settings. If that does not clear it I would suggest that it is either a hardware fault or interference
A constant buzzing might be interference from the power control card. What happens if you move the set elsewhere. Also, try it on another aerial, maybe there is a problem there....perhaps
It sounds like a bad capacitor on the audio board or the speaker themselves are the problem.
I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route. If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, you can purchase a Service Manual over the internet and diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.
Turn down bass in audio menu or if tv has subwoofer turn down sub level or like i stated earlier turn down bass other than that popping noise is a common complaint with vizio, if under warranty call service provider
The popping noise is coming out from the speakers , because some electronic component is shorted like this Z board , it is important to you to know that you can spend less money fixing this one than buying a new one . be ready to spend between $300 to $700.00 in parts. if you choose to not fix
you always can recover your money . returning parts not used to the vendor and or selling your tv as it is.
Your rating to my answer is highly appreciate
Unfortunately, we have the same problem. We hear popping and our sound goes lower. It is not the cable box for us, it's definitely the TV; however, it happens, on our set, after its been on for a few minutes and then goes away after half an hour or so -- however, this evening its been happening for the past hour and the TV has been on for the evening.
Our Sony (almost new) is experiencing sound problems. The sound go off and on about every 10 seconds. Cords appear correctly connected. It sounds as if its coming from the television. Can you help with this problem? Thanks,
