Question about Norcent Technologies LT-2722 27 in. LCD Television

1 Answer

Norcent LT2722 I was given this tv from a family member and it is not working. Usually when I plug the device in I get the blue LED light on the fromt but nothing else. I was reading your posts for this model and am curious if replacing the fuse will do the trick. If so I believe the part that needs to be replaced is labeled as F901. Thank you for any help that you can provide.

Is this something that can be done easily? Or with what little I know are there repair services available for this television? And if so how much would it cost to repair? Thank you.

I have the similar problem. When I turn on the TV, the lamp does not come on. If I let it on for 10 minutes and then turn it off and on, it comes up. Any ideas?

The fuse is good if you're still seeing some kind of light on the front of the LCD. There might be defective capacitors in the power supply and that is why the LCD is not powering up, but also there is a possibility that the back light inverter board might be defective.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. My freesat remote just stopped working. Ive put new battries in, turned box off and on, disconnected and reconnected it but the remote just wont work anymore please help me

Have you got a video camera? Here is the trick to find out if the remote doesn't really work, or it's the TV that is not picking up the remote signal. Most remote use an infrared led to beam signals to the TV's. And this trick will show you whether that remote's LED is actually working. You and a friend or member of the family is all you need to begin testing your remote. Ask your friend or family member to hold the remote and you hold the camera on without recording. Point the remote about 5-6 feet from the camera. You watch the camera monitor screen while your friend or family member presses the On button or presses the buttons that you think are not operating the TV. With a dim room light, you should be able to see a flickering light coming from the remote in the camera screen. If it's hard to see, which I doubt, since remote infrared LED are pretty bright, you can turn your room lights off and try again. If the flickering LED from the remote is seen and is bright, then try all the buttons on the remote, or at least try the ones that you say are not working with the TV. If all is well, then there is nothing whatsoever wrong with the remote, but chances are that though the remote may beam out infrared light, it doesn't mean it is the right frequency for the TV. It could have lost the frequency and no longer sends the correct signals for the TV. However, the problem can also be with the TV remote's LED receiver. This falls into the hands of a technician's inspection on whether the receiving end of the remote is effective or needs replacement. In this part, you need to have the TV checked.

Does this tv have a VGA port?

The best way to find out is to look on the back of the set where all the plugs are. The computer VGA port is a trapezoid shaped plug usually blue with many holes for the pins of your computer cable.

If there is no power at all replace the powerboard, but if there is a led light on when clicking it to turn it on, then it will be the mainboard.
