You can return the phone to its factory settings

and remove all of the programmes and data you

have added by resetting the system.

Performing a soft reset

If your phone responds slowly, stops

responding, or freezes, try a soft reset. A soft

reset causes the phone to restart and re-adjust

memory allocation. Unsaved data in open

windows may be lost.

To perform a soft reset:

Press the RESET key inside the hole on the right

of the phone with your stylus pen.

Performing a hard reset

To perform a hard reset:

Follow the soft reset procedure on the previous

section while also sliding the Power key down

and holding.

Resetting the phone

To reset the phone's system:

From the Start menu, tap Settings ? System

tab ? Clear Memory ? Clear Memory. Write

"yes" in the input field and tap Yes.

After about 5 seconds, the phone reboots and

then begins alignment process.

RESET key

inside the hole

WARNING!

Resetting will delete all your programmes and
data you have added.

How do I reset my dell axim pocket pc back to its original settings?

Hi there,

Performing a Reset
Soft Reset
When you perform a soft reset, the device deletes any data that has not been saved but saves any data that has been stored in memory. Try performing a soft reset if the device does not respond when you tap the display or press a button.

To perform a soft reset, use the stylus to press the reset button.

Hard Reset

NOTICE: When you perform a hard reset, you lose all the data stored and any programs you installed on your device.
Perform a hard reset if:
•You want to delete all the data stored on your device.
•You forget your password and need to clear it.
•Your device is experiencing severe operational problems and you have
already attempted a soft reset.
NOTICE: It is strongly recommended that you back up your data before you perform a hard reset. See ActiveSync Help on your computer for more information.
To perform a hard reset:
1 Press and hold the power button.
2 With the stylus, hold the reset button for about 2 seconds.
3 Follow the instructions on the screen.

Thank you for using FixYa! Have a nice day and please remember to to rate this solution.

Warm regards,

Deleting contacts

If you want to delete everything including any data and apps as well,
you could do a hard reset

  1. Remove the battery, while the BlackBerry device is powered on.
  2. Hold the battery out for about 30 seconds, and replace. The BlackBerry device will reboot.

Phone keeps rebooting

is the button near the reset hole? possibly the button is somehow pressing the reset switch, possibly stuck somehow. Other than that try a hard reset, instructions below.
Soft Reset
Put your stylus in the hole in the lower left corner where it says “Reset” Soft Reset will reboot your device just like when you reboot your PC. No data will be lost, under normal circumstances that is.

Hard Reset
Hold down the Power button (Top Right corner) and at the same time put your Stylus pen in the hole where it says “Reset” (Lower Left corner).
Hard Reset will delete all data you have put on the device, Programs, Settings, Mail, SMS, MMS, etc., so be careful and make a backup before doing this.
After a hard reset, you will have a complete clean new install of Windows Mobile on your device.

Things that are not deleted
  • Data on \Storage Card
  • Data in \Storage folder

Palm treo 600, hangs while picking up calls and wireless mode goes off, deleting all data

Perform a hard reset, and clear the data off the treo.

Hold down backspace and the K key. While holding both of those down, hit the reset button on the back. Hold all for a few seconds. The screen will flash white and then turn off.

Then plug it into the charger cable. It'll turn back on and get you to put in all the settings again.

Then it will work correctly.

Phone Memory Doesn't Increase Even If I delete messages

Something probably got stuck in your phones memory, the easy way to solve this is to backup your contacts, calendar and other important items to your computer and do a hard reset of your phone.,

This is achieved by turning the phone off, press " 3 ", " * " and " green (answer call) " and turning the phone on at the same time.

Remember to save anything valuable, because it clears EVERYTHING.

My treo is doing hard reset automatically

try performing a battery reset..it will reset the internal radio and the charging circuitry..only problem here is that u need an AC charger to switch the phone back on. this will wipe out all data u may want to back it up before trying this option heres how to do it Battery Disconnect Reset Treo 600 only A battery disconnect reset is a last resort step you can take to cut battery power, wipe all data, and regress a Treo 600 to its factory-fresh state. It only works on a Treo 600 smartphone. Important: A battery disconnect reset will erase everything on your smartphone, and also reset the wireless radio and disconnect the internal battery. All your data will be removed, and your formats, preferences and other settings are restored to their factory default settings. Don't perform a battery disconnect reset unless you've backed up your data, or you're willing to lose everything. You won't be able to turn your Treo 600 back on until you connect it to a power adapter, so do not perform this type of reset without your Treo 600 charger and a power source. HotSync note: Some third-party applications change the way your handheld backs up data. Other third-party applications do not back up data. If you have third-party software on your device, please contact the developer to learn what components are backed up during a HotSync operation, and if HotSync conduits are altered. Any data not backed up will be lost. To perform a battery disconnect reset: 1. Disconnect your Treo 600 from the AC charger. 2. Hold down the K and Backspace keys simultaneously. (Note: for French AZERTY keyboard, press K and M; for other language overlays, please refer to the customer support for your region) 3. While continuing to hold down the K and Backspace keys, press the RESET button inside the hole on the back panel of your device (where's the reset hole?). 4. Finding it hard to do? Good. We made this type of reset very awkward to perform, so that it would not happen by accident when your Treo 600 is jostling around in a pocket or bag. Sorry for the inconvenience. You might want to ask a friend to lend a hand if you find it too difficult to do by yourself. 5. Continue holding down K and Backspace. The screen will flash white briefly, and then go black. Release K and Backspace after this happens. Your Treo will appear to be "dead" and the screen will not turn on. If you see any activity ? such as the screen turning back on ? the reset was performed incorrectly; try again 6. To revive your Treo 600, connect it to the AC charger and plug the charger into a socket. The screen will stay blank for several seconds (as long as half a minute), then it will turn on. The LED will glow solid red, indicating charging. 7. Finally, follow the steps for recovering after a hard reset (a battery disconnect reset is an extended type of hard reset).

Reset

The P300 has 3 kinds of reset mechanisms, 1. Soft Reset: you can keep all DRAM data. Procedure: Push the Reset button 2. Hard Reset/Save SDRAM -- Use hard reset/save SDRAM mode to reset the MobilePro P300 without losing the data in SDRAM. Use this mode if the safe software reset mode doesn't improve system operation. Procedure: Reset Button and Power Buttons at the same time. 3. Hard Reset/ Clear SDRAM: You will lose all data. Use to reset the MobilePro P300 and delete the contents of SDRAM. Use this mode to reset the MobilePro P300 to its factory defaults. This is also referred to as a hard reset/clear SDRAM. **Caution** This procedure will delete all user installed applications and user data. If necessary, back up your data before performing the hard reset. Procedure: Push the Reset, Power, and Record Buttons at the same time

Deletinjg contacts.

I suggest you hard reset the Treo 600 to remove all former data and the username associated with the phone. Press the power button next tot he antenna and perform a soft reset at the same time. Dont let go of the power button until the Palm Logo appears. Then you will see a message asking if you want to delete all data. Removing portions of the old data is not an easy task.

BIG PROBLEM: After hotsynch Palm resets over and over

You need to hold the "up arrow" while resetting, this will allow you to delete all info. That may not be what you want to do, if so, the only other option you really have is to do a soft reset, which is holding the up arrow and selecting "don't delete data". If the delete all data is STILL hanging after a hard reset, you can do a battery reset, which drains the battery, erases all data and goes back to "factory settings" There are two methods for this: While holding down the J & L keys, click the reset button on the back and hold it for 4 seconds. Or While holding down the K & backspace keys, click the reset button on the back and hold it for 4 seconds. Google "treo 600 battery reset" for more details
