Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I have lost the disk to install and it keeps saying i need a disk,everybody says i don't,what and how do i fix the problem? no mind you i am computer stupid so i will need step by step intructions if the problem can be fixed
1. If you have receipt of the purchase you are on your way to victory.
2. If you don't have a receipt you're going to have to download a copy of the printer drivers from the manufacturers web-site. You Can usually do this without any problems, just make sure that you are downloading the drivers to your particular model, and that you've downloaded all necessary applications.
3. If you have the receipt you can call the manufacture and they will lead you through a easy-going process to obtain the driver for the printer.
4. Ask those friends of yours that if you don't need the software why don't they come over and show you they bypass the factories way of making sure that their products are sold in stores with software and manuals as oppossed to on the street where having the printer means having the entire package.
Let's recount: a receipt will help tremendously, No receipt will take some time to find the right software driver, but it can (and has) been done. lastly ask your genious, computer savvy, friends to perform what they believe they can. Hopefully you'll laugh if they don't succeed like promised. Anyways good Luck. It should not be too hard to get a hold of the software drivers for your printer...especially if it's new. F.Y.I. The drivers simply announces to your computer's headquarters that this printer officially has an I.D. Card that allows the printer to use resources in your computer.
Without them. the printer wouldn't be able to read the language that is being sent to it.
