It is trying to connect but is having communications error. You never mentioned the camera name, model, etc.

Kind of like telling your DR: "HELP!... my body feels weird so fix it".

Basics: find the name of your camera and the model number. Go on the internet and find their website. Download the driver for USB connections. Once this is done and downloaded, you will be able to manipulate your photos within "Explorer" rather than relying on the software that came with your camera.

Should you crave playing with your pictures utilizing the exact, OEM software, the website will have that software as well. You will have to spend the time to search, download, install and make the proper configurations.

These cameras are on the list of the ccd problems.
Here is a link to the site you may need. Canon will repair it for free if it is the ccd problem. Note that they will pay for shipping both ways as well if it is the ccd problem. Call them on the toll free number.

SOURCE: doesn't recognize memory card

Your camera is only supporting SD/MMC Cards (up to 2 GB)

The card that you currently have might be faulty. Please try another card.
You might also need to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.1: Menu, Cam settings, Chose AUTO or SD card option Press OK

Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.

SOURCE: Internal camera memory is only

Well, first of all, format completely erases the card so those pics are lost. In the future, use a card reader to download your pics to a folder you create on your desktop.

Copy from pc to camera

The software that comes with almost every camera, is used to make backups from the pictures on your camera. The backup device is thought to be a computer. So this software only allowed to move the pictures from the camera to the computer. lots of camera users don't even realise the have to install special software, to transfer the pictures from camera to computer.
Keeping all you computers only on one memory card in a camera is very dangerous, because there are lost of possibilities to lose all your pictures. But if you insist to put back pictures on the memory card, you should use a memory card reader connected to the computer. and copy the pictures from the computer to the memory card.
Don't try to copy pictures, made on other camera's, to the memory card that you us in your camera. Not all files are compatible, even not when they have the same name. So it could be, you have pictures from an other camera on your memory card and still you won't be able to view them on your camera display.

Trouble dowloading pictures

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Can I download pictures from internal memory directly to my computer for a NIkon coolpix S570 camera? The memory card I was using went bad and the camera displays "This card cannot be used"

You can connect the camera to the computer with the USB port. If there's no memory card in the camera, the computer should see the pictures in the internal memory.

Alternatively, you can get a new memory card (you're going to need one, right?) and copy the pictures from the internal memory to the card, then put the card into a card reader and transfer the pictures taht way.

How do I download my pics from digital camera to computer

Hi wa143,

Copying pictures from your camera to your computer is very easy. Just follow the steps below so you can download them in no time.

1. Some digital cameras come with a software that helps you copy pictures from your camera to your computer. Install the software on your computer.

2. Connect the camera to your computer using the USB cable.

3. You can also use a memory card and memory card reader. All you have to do is to remove the memory card from your camera and insert it into the memory card reader.

4. Once you have connected the camera to your computer or your memory card card into the memory card reader, your computer will detect the connection and ask what you want to do with the pictures.
--> If you connected your camera with a USB cable, click Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard, and then click OK.
--> If you are using a memory card reader, click Copy pictures to a folder on my computer using Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard, and then click OK.

5. When the Scanner and Camera Wizard appears, click Next. Choose the folder where you want your pictures to be downloaded.

Hope it helps.

Hi. I have some pictures on my camera memory card which I want to download, but when I connect the camera to my computer, it only displays one picture old picture which should have been deleted long ago...

Instead of connecting the camera to the computer, use a card reader to directly transfer the pictures from your camera's memory card. It is easier and the card reader is a cheap device. It will work just like a USB flash device.
