Normally you press Time Cook > Power Level > # (Where # is a number 1-9, standing for 10-90%).

If this doesn't answer it, please reply back with your brand and model number so we can help you.

When I try to change the power level on my Magic Chef microwave, it only lets you put in one digit. How do you make sure its on 100% or 50%?

The oven always starts at 100% power. When you enter a power level from 1 to 9, the control board reads it as 10 to 90% of full power. So power level 5 is 50%, 3 is 30% and so on.

Dishwasher will start washing and then trip the power

this is in micrfowave ovens Wrong Category...

However if the circuit contsantly trips when using the dishwasher, take a look to see what other appliances are also being used at that time.

Electric jugs/kettles will overload the circuit, so will TV;s etc. Have an electrician divide the power plugs in that circuit to a new circuit breaker and reduce some of the load. Est cost is 80-$100

Reduce heat

Normally it's one of these two sequences to cook at 1 minute at 60% power:

Time Cook, 1, 0, 0, Power Level, 6, Start
1, 0, 0, Power Level, 6, Start

You can download many Kenmore owner's manuals free.

Enter your full model number at the Sears parts site.

A full Sears/Kenmore model number has 3 digits, a dot, then 8 more digits, such as ###.########

On the resulting page, look to the right for the blue "View manuals" button. Click there.

That Sears-related site has many free manuals. While the manuals they list there are all free, they will ask you to register.

Many times, the owner's manual will also have the installation instructions inside.

If yours is not listed there for free, you would have to order it through the
Sears parts site.

How to reduce power on Sanyo micrwave

You can find Sanyo UK microwave owner's manuals here.

Your model is not listed there, but if you will click on the "+" sign to expand the folders below the search box, then open the "microwave oven" folder, you can find several models which seem to be close to yours - probably close enough to work.

Power level again

It is probably a 700 watt model. Most ovens have 10 power levels, ranging from 10% to 100%. Normally you press POWER LEVEL, then press 1 for 10%, 2 for 20%, etc., then press START or COOK to cook. We could not find exact information on this model.

Sanyo EM-P740w

It looks like you would enter the cooking time then press POWER 1 to 10 times. Once = 100%, twice = 90%, thrice = 80%, and so on, and "PL#" will appear in the display where "#" is the selected power level. On some models, twice = 80% and thrice = 60%, etc. and "80%", or "60%", etc., will appear in the display. Then press START. Did that do it?
