Hello- I have a Rancilio S24 that I have owned for the past 5 years.
When I turn the power switch to the ON position, the light in the switch comes on. However, the pump does not activate, and the boiler tank does not heat up. Do I have a heating element problem? Is there a reset switch to try before I have it serviced?

There is a low water sensor tube in the water tank. Pull it out and leave it out for 30 seconds, then lower the bell back into the water tank. If the bell gets water inside the it looses the aire pressure to activate the sensor. There should be only air in the bell and hose.
Hi Do an ohms check on the element. With an ohms meter check the reading between the elements. The reading should be between 12 and 16 ohms for a 110v machine and 50 to 60 for a 220v machine. If you have no reading or a higher reading you have a bad element. Replace the boiler
I am not sure if you have a plumbed model or the one with the tank, however, I will give advice for both. If machine is plumbed, make sure water is turned on then remove the top panel on the boiler is a reset switch (it is on the side of some models), its a red push in switch. If using a tank, fill then press reset and turn machine on.
