The JVC RX-884VBK is a great machine, I had it for over 5 years and had no problem at all. I came across the (NO SOUND at all) and I believe it is an easy fix. Check the Front left, there are 2 keys marked 1 and 2 for SPEAKERS output, sometimes you don't notice that you connected the speakers to 1 and the 2 key is pressed. You could have both keys pressed and you will get the sound. I hope that helps.

What kind of question is this? Push a frequency range with no other context??? Heck, sight unseen I'd say yes but it would be meaningless without the following considerations...
Amplifiers push POWER (Watts) through a specified LOAD (Ohms) within a freqeuncy bandwidth at a specified + or - dB level and with less than a specified amount of distortion for comparison to other amps.
Besides, 40hz-25kHz is itself deficient on the bass side and ultrasonic overkill on the high side. The range of 20-20K is more commonly used for audio specs. From the few user reviews I found I imagine it will push 80-100 watts cleanly into 8-ohms across the audible bandwidth. Like any amp, exceed its capacity at the risk of its and your speakers' well-being.
I can't find any authoritative specs for it.
