May be the issue with the CCD (Image Sensor Device) of the Camera. This is a known issue with this Camera.

Refer this article to confirm this:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/news-item.pl?mdl=DSCT1&news_id=161

Check whether the LCD screen of the Camera looks similar as given on the page.

If yes, clickon the "Yes" button at the end of the page to create an online RepairRequest for sending the Camera to the Sony Factory Service Center.

When the ipod is putting in charge what will apear on the screen

When you put the Ipod for charging you get an image of a battery on the screen. It will be fully green if its completely charged or else partially or fully red depending on the condition of the battery.
The first time you connect this device it takes at least 5 minutes for this display to come on, do not panic.Leave it for charging for at least 5 to 6 hours before initial use.

Can I remove histogram which apears on screen when taking a photo? It is distracting!

While the histogram can be distracting, it can be very useful to ensure that your image is well composed and the lighting is good.

To remove the histogram, put the camera in video or picture taking mode, press the up arrow (disp) key to cycle through three different display types: Histogram + indicators on (where you are now), nothing but the picture (where you want to be) and picture with indicators. Indicators include battery charge state, image quality, etc. Not needed while taking pictures, but nice to be able to take a look.

See page 33 of the manual for your camera.

"AA" icon on display screen

It's the stupid AutoAnswer setting you must have on. I wish it didn't have to show on the screen with this on. I have it on only for bluetooth.

CCd failure

This is a good blog on CCD failure; http://www.teleplancamerarepair.com/camera-repair-blog/post/images-apear-to-be-distorted-e28093-images-do-not-apear-e28093-Might-be-the-CCD.aspx

Goes into the distorted images you describe, explains why it fails, what it looks like and how to fix it.
While the images actually look cool it's a real drag when it happens to your camera!
Other things that happen is the images do not appear, or show with a magenta hue, or green tint.

Sony F55 Recorded Display

The filename (e.g. DSC0012.jpg) shows the image number, the filespec shows the date and time recorded. Most software will give you document info about resolution of the image. I wouldn't worry about what the battery status was when the shot was taken or how many other images were on the Mstick. I guess I'm not sure what you need.
