My sony kdl-32m3000 turns on with remote only has white background and red and blue vertictails lines. Then after 3 to 5 seconds it turns off. Then the timer light blinks 3 times then stops and then blinks 3 times over and over again. If i try to turn tv on it does this again.

That error says backlight failure. It has to be troubleshooted to find out why.

That is almost always an indication of main-board failure on these Bravia LCD's. Unfortunately this is a very difficult repair, and unless you are an
electrician I would not recommend attempting it. You will need to
contact a local TV repair person in your area. If you think it may
still be under warranty please contact the manufacturer to file an
RMA. If you happened to purchase the TV with a major credit card (not
a debit card) there is a good chance it may still be under the free
extended warranty most credit cards place on electronics. Please
contact your credit card company to inquire if they do this, and they
will be able to file the claim and get you a refund for the TV.
Let me know if you want me to try and track down the part for you, but please make sure you think you are capable of doing the repair.
Thanks
Tim
