Question about Philips 50PFP5332D 50 in. Plasma Television
My tv has red lines thru it. the lines are up & down. this problem just started this morning.
You should have a technician come in and correct the problem. This is an issue that usually will be corrected in the installeers mode of the television. And you need the proper equipment to get the settings correct. If you have the tools I can tell you how to troubleshoot, and fix the problem. If not it will probally cost you 50-125$ depending on where you live to have someone come and fix it .

When you bring up the onscreen menu, are the lines running over it or behind it? If they are behind the OSD, play a DVD and see if the lines are present there. If not, I assume you are only seeing the lines while watching cable/satellite? You might want to check the connection and try different cables or inputs to determine the issue.
If the lines are present over-top of the OSD, this is an issue within the TV so try a power drain:
1. Unplug the product's power cable so that the device is not grounded to the house. Do not simply turn off the power-bar if one is in use.
2. Press and hold in the products power button for 1 minute to release the retained electricity from the capacitors and circuit board. 3. Plug the product back into the wall outlet rather than a power-bar to rule it out of contributing to the problem and turn the device back on.
If the lines are still present, service is likely required. I hope the above works for you.
