Try selecting input on your tv, change input selection channel using the remote.

Turn on your PS3 and start it.
Grab your TV remote, and press the input button, the one that switches between DVD , TV etc.
Press it a couple of times until you see the consol.

I'm trying to connect a WDTV to my SAMSUNG LE32R74BDX by HDMI but the HDMI source isn't found by the TV, it simply stays greyed out, should devices like this be plug and play or am i missing something?...

I had the same problem. Had to connect using the composite cable, when to settings, changed it to HDMI. This turn the display on my TV off again. Then plug in the HDMI and it worked!

I also expected it to be plug and play... Hope this works for you...

Connecting Laptop to LCD

It might have something to do with wether the VGA cable has all pins connected.
I think some cables don't have all 15-pins wired.
As soon my LCD TV works I will post the outcome.
