Question about Samsung CLP-300N Laser Printer

Open Question

Apple Time capsule

The printer works perfectly when connected directly to my MacBook Pro via USb or wireless vis a Netgear router. When I try to connect through Time Capsule, it recognizes the printer but will not print. Many hours on the phone with Apple support and no resolution. I returned the Time Capsule and reverted to the original router, works perfectly again. I would like to use the Time Capsule at some time...I love wireless automatic back-up's...Any one else have this problem?

SOURCE: ML4600 only print 2 pages

It could be losing connection to the printer when there is too much information to print.
If the cable the information needs to travel through is too long or the distance to the printer is too far - information is "lost" due to the stability of the connection.  The longer the information needs to travel the more unreliable and unstable it becomes.
Have you tried from a different computer to print the document?

SOURCE: Can't print from MacBook, through Time Capsule, to Lexmark x5470

turn on the printer sharing via the system preference panel on the computer that is on the system via usb.
Then on your wifi computer look for shared printers and you'll see your printer in the list under the host computer name... use that setting and it should fire up for you!
let me know how it goes...

HP Envy 5530 first some time ago stopped copying and scanning busy it said. Yesterday started with everything flashing showing: Code# C2EBA341 I uninstalled the printer.

why not reload the software from HP.
that be like first
no OS stated,, cept MAC.
I had tried, so did it down load, fully and the fully install, you said only TRIED !
ah wireless, that is hard
does thie printer work , to other PC< or direct.>>>>??
lean to diagnose, we start simple the work to hard, (wifi)

no one here can do that for you,its you deal.

this printer does 3 ways
wireless
wireless direct
wired ethernet never
usb
so does USB work , on your pc or others/. then the printer is ok
and you need wifi training, (not easy most times)

you never once side wifi direct or to wifi router (indirect)
the router, is best. so what router is it.???
did you set up a reserved, IP address, for your printer?
let me tell you this is always best, then you write doen that IP
on paper stick it to the side of the printer, so you know where to connect.

did you do the steps for manually wifi setup to the router in the manual.>
the HP software will attempt to find the rounter, and find and free
DHCP IP address, and can do so, but many times this fails.

ON my fancy router log in and see it. in the IP connected page.
if missing then the HP is not connected, telling which end is bad side
printer
or the MAC end. APPLE END.
IF You knew all that you can even ping the printer. from any PC on the LAN
why not use USB first. or all the time.
if sharing the printer is necessary ,start with USB
then get the printer on its own reserved IP, ending the hardships.
then sharing is next.

Not able to connect the extender to my apple time capsule? no wps button. can i use this extender?

Hi, yes you will be able to use the Netgear range extender with the Apple Time Capsule, provided you configure the Time Capsule's wireless settings based from the wireless security you have setup on the Netgear router or extender. No need for WPS button. Just treat the time capsule just like another wireless laptop.
For instructions in setting up wireless settings of Time Capsule click on this link -->> http://www.apple.com/timecapsule/wireless.html

Hope this helps. Glad to be of service.

How do i connect to apples time machine?

You can manually configure the time machine to accept wireless signal from the router or extender. If you setup WEP on the router or extender, make sure you setup WEP on the time machine as well.
For instructions in setting up wireless settings of Time Capsule click on this link -->>

Hope this works for you.

Connected Canon MP610 to Apple Time capsule via USB. My Macbook pro prints wirelessly perfectly, as does my sons Vista Laptop, however my daughters vista laptop and my wifes XP laptop print black fine, but...

Hi richardhaley,
Isee that you are having issues with your Canon MP610 printer.
You mentioned that your printer is connected to an Apple Time capsule via USB and that it works fin on your Macbook and on your sons Vista Laptop but prints the colored shifted to the right on your daughter's Vista and wife's XP Laptop and this is connected via USB.
If I may ask have you tried printing wireless using your daughters Vista Laptop and you wife's XP Laptop to see if the colors are still gonna shifted to the right.
Also you mentioned the drive that the driver you are using is from bonjour but still you have the same problem.
Here is a link where you can download drivers specific for the versions of windows your daughter's Vista and your wife's XP would have, you will need to select exactly the OS operating system for the driver that you need also there is a software for each Operating system as well maybe you can download that as well for both system for you to be able to recalibrate the printer from the 2 machines.
I hope that this will help.
Thank you for choosing Fixya,

Welcome to Fixya

You dont need a CD or driver to connect to time capsule. All you need to do is to have you MACbook detect the Time capsuple. Open AirPort Utility, select Time Capsule, and click Continue. Enter the password of the time capsule if incase you secured the router.

I used to have a linksys router but now have a Apple Time Machine. When I power up my WGA54G all i get is the power light. When I connect my WGA54G to the Time Machine, only the ethernet and power are lit....

Well, I'm not quite sure what your asking, exactly, but I'll try,

What are you wanting to connect the 'WGA to?

--"I used to have a linksys router but now have a Apple Time Machine."--
The Apple "Time Machine" is the backup "software" that controls the "Time CAPSULE'S" Hard Drive so I'll take it you mean the Time Capsule. The Time Capsule is already wireless.

The Time Capsule is just a wireless router with a Hard Drive in it. You should have set the Time Capsule up the same way you did the Linksys router. The Time Machine software on your computer can now access the Hard Drive for backup purposes.

"Time Capsule" connects to the '"WGA" wirelessly
'"WGA" is connected to a"Game system" (or network ready non-wireless product) via the Ethernet cable.

-"When I connect my WGA54G to the Time Machine,"-
OK,,,,,,, After looking at the manual on-line I think I know what happened, I believe the Manual is wrong! The "NOTE" mentioned to hook it to the Router first but how the heck are you suppose to access it from there? You CAN'T!
I think they had a "Brain Fade" and meant to hook it to the computer.

Hook the 'WGA to the Mac Book Pro and you should be able to access it now. You might want to make sure the MBP's Network connection LOCATION is set to AUTO to make sure it connects OK.

Make sure the switch on the side of the 'WGA is set to - infra- and not -ad-hoc-.

Hook an Ethernet cable to the computer then hook the other end to the 'WGA then plug the power cord into the WGA to turn it on and then try the Ip # it said to use in a web browser. If it then shows the log-in screen then enter them in like the manual said.

According to the manual if you can't access the 'WGA via the IP #192.168.1.250 then it some how got changed and you will have to reset it like the manual say's.

I hope I understood you OK, Good luck....

Apple Macbook Pro does not connect to wireless network

The antennas in the Macbook Pros have had an issue with reception due to the aluminum housing of the laptop but, should still receive decent reception just not as much as a plastic Macbook or plastic PC laptop. It could be possible that the antenna's cables have become disconnected from the Airport Extreme card inside your Macbook Pro, that the card itself is faulty or damaged or that the Antennas themselves have been damaged in some way. As always make sure you have the latest updates and have installed any driver updates from Apple regarding your Airport Extreme card. Here's an article that may help eliminate any wireless interference that may be affecting your signal strength. Apple - Wireless Interference hope this helps, if so don't forget to comment, vote, etc. Thank you.

My son has a macbook pro and every time he opens his browser it knocks out the router, a netgear wgt624, and the signal is dropped

Wow, I've heard of Apple Mac's being evil before, but never heard of one knocking out a whole wireless router.

The technology used by Apple Mac and everybody else is really the same. I can't think of a reason for a macbook pro to cause a router to actually stop transmitting signal?

Try a different wireless router ... see if it zaps that one too. If so take the Apple back to the store or to your church for an exorcism.

Newer Apple Mac may have Airport Pro ... with 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequency bands in it. It won't have such an amazing amount of power coming out of it that it can zap (like star wars) a wireless router.

By the way Airport Extreme is a very nice wireless router ... and it should play nice both with Apple Mac's and every other kind of computer. And you can link more than one of them wirelessly.
