Question about Lexmark Printers & Copiers

My lexmark730 installation disc has been damaged and iam unable to install it on my wifes new computer. please can i get a replacement disc. my email is dhellaby@ntlworld.com Thank you d.r.hellaby

Lexmark does not distribute replacement install disk for all models.

Contact Lexmark here, to see if the disk for your printer is available.


If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here:Official Lexmark Drivers and Software

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find thefile,double click on the file, then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

  • Unplug printer USB.
  • Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
  • Download driver from website and run the file.
  • Follow driver installation wizard.
  • Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.
Note:some printer does not work on Vista

Lost my paperwork and disc


You'll need to install the printer driver on your computer. From there, the Lexmark software will give you step-by-step instructions on how to install and setup your printer.

Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X4690 Printer Driver on your computer. Select your operating system > click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.

After installing the printer driver, try to print a document to verify that the software is installed successfully.

UNABLE TO SCAN DOCUMENTS TO MYH COMPUTER


Try uninstalling and reinstalling your scanner with a clean install.

Do yo have the original disc? if not you can go to this site for a download of your scanner driver.

Here is how to do a clean download and install:

If you have the disc or when you have located the correct driver for your machine, please do a clean download and install as follows:

Uninstall the previous software.
Turn off the machine and unplug it
Turn off all your running programs including your virus control
(look in the lower right corner and click on each little icon there and turn off everything you can)

Insert your disc for a new install
>>>If you don't have the disc-Now download the driver and SAVE it to your desktop
Click on it to install and follow the directions carefully.<<<<< When installation is finished, if it has not told you to reconnect your printer, do so now.
Restart your computer.

I have had a Lexmark730 for a year and a half.I have changed nothing and yet all of a sudden last week I got an error notice that the connection has failed between the computer and printer.I have checked...


Tulla, i encountered the same issue with an old lexmark Z-series (Cheapest model). i had to reinstall the printer agian.

if you have the utility installed, remove the printer from your printers and faxes first, then uninstall the bidirectional utilities like ink monitor and all that. after so, you may reinstall it using the CD (with utilities) or just add a new printer to your printers and faxes window.

Cannot re-install Lexmark X6170


I get the same message when I try to install downloaded driver, 'user cancelled' or 'cannot install'.
Can anyone out there help?
