HW6915 GSM losing signal

I own this mob for few months. I bought it only for SKYPEing, but now I have more wishes. Everythig works OK, but GSM. I read about flashing ROMs from WM5 to WM6, and about risks to brick RADIOrom. And I try pach with SDcard (WinHex), but story is the same. On my phone is no mesage NO GSM on start, and nobody describe how it works when RADIOrom is broken. My phone having signal when I put SIM in, but every 20sec it goes down and sign-! is behind antena sign. It is for about 10sec, and there it is again online. This is repeat almoust in the same interval. So I can make or receive call and sound is perfect for that 20sec and then it break the signal. If somebody know reason why, please ansver.

I bought it with WM6.1. Manny hours spend to fix GPS. Igo8 can't find GPS modul. I solve it with Quick GPS software,so now when I update satellite Igo works. GSM works like I described from start. GSM signal on my place is perfect for any of tree operaters, and I try with SIM-s from all of them. Story is the same: reaching for signal (I hear that on FMradio speaker), about 20 seconds signal is full, then disapears for 10sec. and it's starting again, and again. I don't know what previous owners do, and also didn't know that mobile part is out of game. I am TVservician, so my conclusion is if something is broken (RADIO ROM becouse bad flash of OS), it can't work. No "NO GSM" on start, hard reset don't solve nothing, settings are OK I think, only on HP Asset viewer on GSM tab stay that GSM modul is "YES", other lines are "N/A", and when I put SIM in IMEI number is present. Becourse for that I think that GSM was bad flashing. If flashing is solution, tell me can I flash with original RADIO ROM when WM6.1 is in there, or I must put WM5 back first. Or simply hardware fault, and it can't back. I try to find, spend 3 weeks, and I don't find anything like my problem on any HP. Any Help?

You have paid in full phone service, for GSM?
if yes name it>? seems other want it bet is not available.
if skype , you need internet for that. not phone side.
wifi , Wi-Fi 802.11b (use this in your home? at your wifi router?)
we use skype, via wifi at home and g4 on to move. (not free latter)

the PHONE side needs a service provider
or is useless, as a brick
call your local service providers yet, for GSM phone service
i bet most will decline you, (not a smart phone)
I read even when this phone had service, internet use was greatly limited,,
why not get a used smart phone and update.

SOURCE: HP window mobile phone Model: -hw6915, Serial No.

Try charging it on the wall plug. Sometimes desktop chargers only charge 60% of the battery, and in the phone appears as 100%.

My samsung galaxy ace gt~s5830 keeps losing network signal

I faced the same problem with my Samsung Ace S5830 that it keeps losing the network signal. I formatted the phone and still the same problem. I took the phone to the Samsung store and they opened the phone and cleaned it with some solution and i tried to use the phone for sometime and still the same. I was very frustrated with and unhappy with my phone as it is not even a month and it kept on losing the signal and sometimes would restart and would lose the battery charge. I tried doing this step( Settings>Wireless and Networks>Mobile Networks>Network Mode>Select either GSM or CDMA(Depends on the provider) By default, it would be selected as GSM/WCDMA(Auto Mode)
From Network Operators select the desired network and then restart the phone. Hope this would fix the problem.

Your phone is gsm and there is no gsm/cdma option that you will need to switch. Losing signal has to do with tower issue or an internal antenna issue. That phone is built with aluminum and it does have issue with signal.

Hello,

The batteries from Ebay that are from China have lots of issues. I use an HP 6945 phone/pda and had the same issue with my original battery. I tried a cheap battery and it died within 2 months. I ordered an HP original battery and have been using it again full strength for 7 months. The new battery works bluetooth, wi-fi and gps as well as phone down to about 15% before I recharge. The HP batteries are more expensive but they are worth the extra price.

Losing signals in malls

Are the mall and supermarket in the same area? You may just be where there isn't a nearby cell tower. Some carriers have a procedure to update for new towers, etc. once a month by dialing a number-for instance, I dial *228 for that. Check with your carrier.
