SOURCE: how to make Advanced Configuration and Power Interface compliant

Depends on the CPU, BIOS and the OS - your BIOS needs to support the advanced power features, so does the CPU and the OS. Only then can you get advanced power management.

SOURCE: i have ACPI problem. said

For that particular software you are using,,the ACPI thinks your Bios needs updating.
You can re flash the Bios to a newer version if one is available, and if one isn't available,,then i would suggest turning off the ACPI functions in your system Bios.
ACPI controls the power saving features of your machine via the software, also the power saving features on any legacy devices attached to your system.

SOURCE: Dell 8300 not loading xp home with the blue screen of death

To resolve this behavior, contact the manufacturer of your computer to obtain a BIOS that is fully ACPI compliant.

To work around this behavior, manually install the Standard PC hardware abstraction layer (HAL):

  1. Restart the computer to restart Setup.
  2. When Setup starts again, press F7 (not F6) when you see the "Press F6 if you need to install a third-party SCSI or RAID driver" screen.
Windows automatically disables the installation of the ACPI HAL and installs the Standard PC HAL.

Asus eee pc bios in this system is not fully acpi compliant

These errors can be misleading. Try setting the BIOS to default.

Remove all USB attached devices.

Test one DIMM at time. One slot at a time. To eliminate possible bad RAM. Unplug PC. Opening case. Remove all RAM. Use static precautions!

Re-install Windows. Clean install works best. All data will be lost.

Lastly you may have other hardware problems. If it does another blue screen after reloading windows, especially with a clean install.

BIOS Acpi Not Compliant

You will need to go to the website for the motherboard manufacturer and download the updated drivers for that motherboard. This is common with all the changes that windows goes through in a life cycle.

The bios in this system is not fully acpi compliant

It's possible that the BIOS setup has been accidentally set to non ACPI mode. Check in the setup to ensure ACPI is enabled.

Other possible causes that have been pointed out are memory expansion, overclocking and incompatible driver software. Check out what you have recently installed or updated on your computer

or
removed RAM from one slot and boot
or check the bios update
good day and rate solution if it helps

Ibm 845 e motherboard problem

IBM Netvista PC is not ready for Windows XP, you should update its BIOS on its version so that you can install windows XP, maybe ACPI is not ready yet for this motherboard compliance to Windows XP, so download it at www.ibm.com

Dell Inspiron 1100 Bios and ACPI

Please contact your system vendor for an updated bios. If you are unable to obtain an updated bios or the latest bios supplied by your vendor is not ACPI compliant, you can turn off ACPI mode during text mode setup. To do this, simply press the F7 key when you are prompted to install storage drivers. The system will not notify you that the F7 key was pressed - it will silently disable ACPI and allow you to continue your installation."

RESOLUTION
Manually install the Standard PC hardware abstraction layer (HAL):
1. Reboot the computer to restart Setup.
2. When Setup starts again, press F7 when you see the "Press F6 if you need to install a third-party SCSI or RAID driver" screen.
Windows automatically disables the installation of the ACPI HAL and installs the Standard PC HAL. You should also contact the manufacturer of your computer to obtain a BIOS that is fully ACPI compliant
