Question about Haier Washing Machines

1 Answer

We have the Haier XQG50-11 Combo VENTLESS Washer / Dryer 120 Volt and the problem we are having is that the clothes are not drying. The dryer itself gets plenty hot but the clothes are wetter at the end of the drying cycle than they are at the end of the washing cycle

What controls the vacuum in a haier hwd1600?

Thereis a fan motor to circulate the air and a drum motor that turns the load. Cold water is sprayed into a funnel as the air gets drawn through it. The moisture from the warm clothes vapes into the cold water stream and condenses into the drain, drying the clothes in the process.
If you mean the fan motor choose the heater motor. The drive motor turns the drum.

Dryer will not dry

If it is heating up your vent tube is probably clogged. if the vent system is clogged the heating element will kick on but will over heat and kick right back off because the air has no where to escape to.

How to install new circuit breaker, wiring, and outlet for washer and dryer

Electric dryers require both 240-volt and 120-volt circuits in order to work. The 240 volts are used to heat up the elements that ultimately dry your clothes and the 120-volt circuit is needed to deliver power to the timers, buzzer and controls. This does not mean that you have to run two independent circuits, however. All that is required is a dryer receptacle fed by a three-conductor wire or 10/3g wire. Here is how to wire a dryer receptacle.i think it will work.

Dryer will not Dry!

A conventional dryer uses 240 volts to heat air, which passes through the tumbling laundry, picking up moisture, which is then vented to the building's exterior.
Your dryer uses 120 volts to warm air, which picks up moisture from the tumbling clothes, which then passes through a vent pipe in the back right corner of the dryer where a cold water spray causes the moisture to condense, run to the drain, and then is pumped out of the washer/dryer combo. There is no exterior vent to the outside of the building. Drying with your dryer will take at least twice as long as with a standard dryer. You can wash large loads, but can only dry small loads, and the clothes will not be as dry when dryer is finished as they will be with a standard dryer.
All that said, to make sure your dryer is performing as well as it can, you might like to take the back cover off and check the elbow at the very left bottom corner (when viewed from behind) to make sure nothing is obstructing the flow of water under the tub to the drain.

How do you DRY with the Haier washer/dryer

Have you tried lengthening the dryer cycle or running it at a higher temp? The usual culprit for wet clothes is not running a dryer long enough or hot enough. (I remember some stand-alone dryers (coin-operated with a fixed drying time per coin) that needed two cycles to dry stuff.
