- I need to talk to someone. I have not found the solution
You need to transfer data into your computer, do a backup of contacts, and desktop information, then transfer all data into the new palm, alwayts using computer and USB cable. You will need to have palm software for both Palms to proceed.
If files are in a folder, you still connect new Palm to computer, use Active synch to connect to the palm, then import the email and files into the new palm correspondent folders:
With this method of upgrading your handheld, you'll transfer all PIM¹ data from your existing user name to your new handheld with the same user name. You will also transfer all third-party applications to your new handheld.
Caution: Some third-party applications may not be compatible with your new handheld. Your handheld will crash, freeze or display an error when these third-party applications conflict with your new handheld. If you notice performance issues or problems after transferring third-party software to your handheld, follow our steps for diagnosing third-party software issues.
You must install the version of Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager included on the CD-ROM with your new handheld, even if you already have an earlier installation on your computer, and even if you will synchronize with Microsoft Outlook. This ensures that the desktop components of any new handheld features are added.
Put the new handheld's CD-ROM² in the CD-ROM drive.
Follow the installation instructions that appear.
When prompted, select the existing username of your old handheld.
During installation, you will be asked to perform a HotSync operation. Use the same existing username as above.
Once installation is complete, your PIM¹ data and third-party applications will be transferred to your new handheld. Your new handheld will have the same name as your old handheld.
To avoid confusion, change the name on your old handheld once you're sure that you have all your data transferred to your satisfaction. If you're going to sell or give it away, you may wish to perform a hard reset to erase all your personal data.
With this method, you have a greater likelihood of encountering third-party application incompatibilities. If you notice performance issues or problems after transferring third-party software to your handheld, follow our steps for diagnosing third-party software issues.
You need to use a software/utility to do it. Normally, you unit has an installation CD that came with it. You can use that to install the Palm Desktop Information. Or you can download a 3rd party software for palm HERE
i have a treo as well. each phone has a unique desktop environment. so at any measure, you will need to transfer the data through the palm organizer. this can be done with a remote technician session.

I've had my Blackberry Curve 8320 for a good 6/7 months now and have only noticed that there are 8 blank spaces in the symbols SYM menu. The blanks are over the letters: R, U, I, F, H, J, K, B. I'm certain they weren't blank when I first bought this device... I have downloaded two applications since purchase: OperaMini and Ubertwitter. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm at a loss. I want full use of all symbols!
