I check the tab to turn off mirror image but the next time I boot the computer its back. THis is something that just started after having this printer over 1 year

Mine does the same thing. Anytime I restart, open a new document or change anything on "Printing Shortcuts", "Featurs" or "Color" tabs it defaults to mirror image on. This seemed to happen right after installing XP Service Pak 3, but I have uninstalled SP3 and am still having the same problem. It just keeps defaulting to mirror image "on"

I finally fixed it after no solutions from hp or microsoft support. I found the only solution was to delete the printer icon then reinstall the printer. After that everything back to normal and no more defaulting back to mirror on.

When you get the print window, click "Properties", then click on the "Advanced" tab. Look for a "Mirror Image" menu item. It should say "Off". If not, click on it and you should get a drop down box to change it to off.

You probably have the "mirror image" on.

HP J5780 printer is printing backwards

Hello,

You may have the Mirror image turned on.

Open a job to print. Select File>Print. When the Print window opens, select Preferences, then click on the Advanced tab.

Look for the Mirror Image option. If it says ON, click on it and change it to OFF. Then click OK.

Mirror Image is mainly for iron on transfers.

Thanks for using Fixya.
