In Internet Explorer you must set the Protected mode to "Off". To do this double click on Protected Mode at the bottom of internet explorer, close and restart internet explorer for the change to take effect and try to connect again. If that doesn't work, download and install the application from this location instead of the DVR server. http://support.computersights.com/files/mmultiview.exe
I hope it helps.

hit *20 then put in whatever 4 digits you want as installer code. write this down on your program sheet for future reference. yes, you should have a program record sheet to follow and know how to navigate in programming or else you could make things worse.

How to solve the error: please check the digia2.ocx installation. current version is 1.0.0.80. that apper when i try to connect to the GE DVR Digia2 remotly.

First you need to be using Internet explorer as your browser as it does not support anything else.

Second, temporarly reduce your security settings in the browser. You may need to manually customize the setting rather than using the preset slider bar. Low/Medium/High etc.

The software is trying to install itself using active x but I believe the software is unsigned and will not install unless you reduce the security settings in the browser accordingly.

You will need to click the custom section, then find the box that says "download UNSIGNED activeX controls and chose the "PROMPT" setting. Hit apply, ok then restart the browser and try to log in to the DVR again.

Once the software installs on the machine and you are able to log in, reset the security setting back to the default levels. (THIS IS IMPORTANT)

DONT LEAVE THAT SETTING OR YOU MAY BE EXTREMELY VULNERABLE TO VIRUS, BROWSER ****** and TROJANS!!!!!!

I changed the system battery for my alarm but it is still showing low system battery

Run a sensor test on system. Enter your code then 5 + 0. Be aware that if you have a a siren it will go on for a second. Let test run for about 3-5 min or until it resets. GL.

New KN-coPP_3 ON INSTALLATION. tHREE 8'S APPEARED QUICKLY FOLLWED BY CHIRP ANDTHEN CONT. ATERANATING BET "L6" AND "0"and a chirp every 10 sec's.

"L6" is actually "Lb" which means "Low battery". If you just bought the battery it may be defective. Try a different, known-good one. If it works OK, return the first one for a refund. *Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, despite the handle. Words to live by: "Every creative act results from a sudden cessation of stupidity." -Edwin H. When the battery gets low, why doesn't it beep. I called 911 this morning. I could not get it to quit, and thought something was really wrong. Of course they found no high levels of carbon monoxide....

Having a battery backup capability is actually very smart and useful. It allows the unit to function and protect you during power outtages. The unit SHOULD display "Lb" (Low battery) and beep intermittently for a while before the battery goes completely dead, giving you time to replace it while still protecting you. If you do not see that display the next time it beeps intermittently, call the Kidde "Hotline" at 1-800-880-6788 and discuss the problem; you may qualify for a warranty replacement. *Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, despite the handle. Can i run fire rated 18 gage wire in the same wiremold with other lowvoltage wire ie burg wire

Yes, provided the 18 gauge wire is being used in a low voltage application. You do not want to run any type of high voltage wire in any raceway with low voltage. Hope this helps.

Will not work with Windows 7, is there a driver that will work.

I was having the same problem, and the answer is a little tricky, but should work fine. You need another computer running xp or vista. Go to the other computer, then install the software from the included disk. Download Drivermax (http://www.innovative-sol.com/drivermax/index.htm) and install it on the xp/vista computer. Then, plug the receiver unit into the xp/vista computer, and wait for the hardware to be installed. Once the receiver is installed (you can test this by running "Uniden Surveillance System" and turning on a camera), leave the receiver plugged in and run drivermax. Click on "Backup Drivers" under "Driver Backup and Restore". Click next, and wait for it to list all of your devices (this could take a while, depending on your devices). When they have all listed, scroll through the list until you see "Wireless Digital Camera" or similar. Check the checkbox next to that, and click next. Save the file on a usb drive and disconnect the receiver and the usb drive with the driver on it. Go to the Windows 7 computer, and make sure the Uniden Surveillance System software is installed. Plug in the receiver and wait for windows to try to install the software. When it shows the error, go to printers and devices, and double click the icon for the receiver, under the unrecognized category. Click troubleshoot, and it will try to figure out the problem. Once it asks you where to look for the driver (Windows Update or a file on your computer), click the option for the file on your computer, and browse to the folder on your usb drive. Continue, and it will search the folder for the files it needs. For me this took a while, but wait for it to finish installing the driver. Once it does, you're done! Start up the software and try out your camera!

This worked fine with me, using an XP driver on a windows 7 netbook.

Low Battery warning on Simon 3 even when I changed it out

temperature affects batteries. if the batteries on the window sensors have been in use for some time it is probably time to change them. Alarm batteries are only expected to last 3 to 5 years with moderate use. If you have close neighbors or live in an apartment complex then false reads could be a factor.
