That recall is for VPCF11 and VPCCW2 models. Your issue definitely sounds like a heat problem. Sometimes it can be a buildup of dust, fuzz, carpet etc especially if you use it on a bed or the floor. Check all the vents and make sure they are clear. If the fan is making abnormally loud noises, slight grinding it could be failing. Here is one, retails for about 35 dollars. Make sure you get one with a heatsink, better safe then sorry. It is not too difficult to replace, but if you are not comfortable doing it then it is best to take it to a computer repair store.
This over heating issue is a common issue for this model of VAIO Computer. You will get a free service or replacement of parts(Battery) from the Sony Service Center. For more information please follow the link below.

Hope this will help you. All the best.
There are no belts in a computer, sounds like something is rubbing in your computer cooling fan blades, get a can of Duster ( to clean dust from things) and spray the compressed air into all the vent holes to clean out any dust and debris.
that's the actual fan, brushes may need some fresh oil (like wd40), means opening the lappy back up and removing the fan and dropping some oil inside the fan bearing area (where the fan and hub connect)
this should stop the sounds and help the fan move freely.
though this is also a sign that the fan is unhealthy and will eventually need replaced.
hope this helps.
There can be a lot of reasons,
1) first try ths ,
Goto run and type services .msc
then check the audio service to see i fit is started , if stopped start the service
2) you can also try and reinstall the drivers try add hardware icon in the control panel else use device manager
You have not mention about your location. However there are many companies provide laptop parts including the FL inverters. if you have the the inverter with you it will be simple to replace when you open the display frame as you can remove the old FL inverter module and put new one. It has sockets that you can easily connect.
You can get the parts from Sony, also 3rd party dealers here is the some links for them
If you know how to open up the back cover of the laptop,it is easy to take out the fan unit, have it clean up or replace with a new fan( not very expensive items ).other alternative is to get the service centre to do it,also not very costly.hope it help
