You need to make sure you have a Casio cable to connect the two machines. If you have no serial port in your computer, make sure you have a USB to serial converter as well as the Casio link cable.

VAT is value added tax which is straight percentage. program tax one or two for the percentage and make sure your departments are set up taxable or non taxible. prgm 2 is vat probably and program 1 will be for dept. generally with casio.

If you go to a dealer, you should be able to buy a Casio link cable for a PC and the Casiovision utility software.

u mean no power at all?
If yes, try to reset it. (NOTE: This method will RESET all of ur programmed data!)
1. Off power
2. Take out the AA size backup battery
3. On Power
4. The machine should show "0000000000"
5. Fix the AA battery in
6. Program the Date & Time
7. Ok

Type date as YYMMDD
Press X/TIME (maybe labelled X/ DATE TIME)
Press CLEAR
