License keys for Windows XP, any service pack, can be tricky to recover or restore. For a temporary solution you can try using the linked program. KMSPico 10 0 9 Final By TeamDaz Now you'll need to be careful while installing the trial version so that you don't install any of the bundled bloatware.
You could also try to rollback your serice pack to SP 1 or 2 through the Windows Update option under the Control Panel. It may be that your key is only valid through SP 2, which is fairly common and a problem I encountered often when I was working on XP machines back in 2005 and 2006.
I understand. Microsoft has cracked down on tracking software that are installed in computers by requiring a validationg of your install operating software.
Since the XP operating system was installed on the computer when you purchased the system. Who ever sold you the computer must provide the CD key for your XP software. This CD key is five groups of numbers and letters you must enter to send to Microsoft to validtae your XP software.
Hope this information will give you what you need to validate your XP software.
The product key is on the folder in which the genuine software disk was shipped to the buyer. MS Service Packs do not change the key nor should they require you to reinstall the key. You have a pirated version of XP software and even with a key it will not pass Microsoft validation. It will be quickly disabled by Microsoft and you'll be left with a black screen. You need to get a valid copy of the software.
If your windows is genuine, then you should not have any problem with validation...then if it says it failed o validate, then you probably have a pirated version of windows...are you using Windows XP or Vista?
Call microsoft and verify that your version is authentic and not pirated...
I had this problem already and it turned out althoug i had an authentic version the key i was sold with the cd was not recgoinised by microsoft. After providing my proof of purchase microsoft gave me a new key
