Question about Washing Machines
I have a 6kg Kelvinator washing machine that is in perfect condition, it is 6 years old. The other night when I put a load of towels on half way through draining out the water it went completly dead. No power what so ever. When I took the towels out the were still heavy with water and had a small amount of water left in the bottom of the bowl. I have tried different power points and still no power. There are no lights on the automatic swtich board. Please Help
Unplug the washer and plug something else you know works in to make sure you have power in the outlet if not
check your circuit breaker box and reset the switch that is not lined up with the others flip it on off on
Now check the washer If you haven't already done this.
Some units have there own fuse in the back , if so it will be labeled.
hope this helps if not get back to me mike

Since your washer worked fine while in Germany and now is exhibiting this problem at your new home, you may want to double check how it was installed. I suspect you may have a problem known as "siphoning". The following link explains:
This could be a simple situation where the drain line on the washer is not installed correctly. There are minimum height and length requirments on the drain line. In addition, make sure the stand pipe you have the drain hose inserted in has a proper air gap to allow draining. All of this is explained in the link provided.
I hope this information is helpful to you. The majority of the situations arise from improper installation and is not an operaitonal problem with the washer. If, however, you double check everything and still have problems, please post back and let me know.

either you have a blocked hose to the pump or the pump itself is either jammed or the impellor has come off the shaft. either way i think you will need to replace the pump. i presume you managed to get the water out? if so i would say the pump is favourite.

HI, you will want to Inspect the water supply connections. this is a good spot to check first. there may be a loose connection here, causing the leakage. Next, Inspect the drain hose. Check to make sure that it is tightly connected to the drain pump. replace if needed. Last. Inspect outer tub/basket for cracks or corrosion.
You will find the issue in one or all of the above stated check points.
