Hi, we have a Belkin wireless router and the 'world' light has disappeared. We have been in contact with our service provider and all seems to be ok on that side. I understand there is a lifetime warranty on the Belkin wireless router. I am having to use dialup at present due to this difficulty. It has been so frustrating that I have bought a brand new Laptop still with the same problem...The connection code is Belkin_G_plus_Mimo_EB861B - can you please assist? My Name is Nenia pleaes advise - thanks!

Based on your description, the Belkin is not connected to your provider. I am assuming that the router is connected to a modem. Pls connect the modem directly through Ethernet connection to any of your computers. Reboot and re-start all devices except the Belkin (keep it off). Verify that you can go online. If yes, Belkin is either defective or needs configuration, if not modem is defective or can not connect to your ISP.

Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up with just the modem or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Hi, I have a belkin surf F7D2301 wireless router that has been performing wonderfully for about 6 months until the other day when it stopped working out of the blue. No power lights are on and it does not...

Before contacting Belkin to obtain a replacement of the unit, I'd suggest attempting to locate a different AC adapter for your router.
You never know, it may be bad and your router could be fine.
If you can't locate one, or the one you found didn't work, contact Belkin for a replacement.

    Hi there,
We wish a very Happy New Year.
What are the lights which would come up on the router when there is no wireless connection? Does it say "Limited or no connectivity"? call your Internet service provider and ask if your connection is under stabilization Period? Make sure that there are no other Wireless devices kept between Router and the computer.
    Hope this helps. Cheers!!!!!

There's happens a bit with my router as well...too often actually, normally when I'm downloading... Usually though it's fixed by just rebooting the router. unplug it for about 5 minutes and plug it back in. Like i said, usually that will do it, other times it's that along with a reboot of my computer

    Belkin Network USB hub

    hi dear

I've not had any issues like you described using the in-built Windows
wireless client. So my suggestions involves removing the Belkin software and
    retrying with the built-in software:

    1. Try and uninstall the Belkin client software
    2. Check to see if the WZCSVC service is running
You can check this by issuing the following command:
    a) net start
    b) sc query wzcsvc

Both command should list some info about WZCSVC (Wireless Zero
    Configuration) if it is running.

    3. If your wireless card is installed successfully, you should see a
antenna-type icon in the system tray.
If not, you need to install the drivers for the card manually. Check
    the Belkin CD for drivers.

    4. If you can see your new router's SSID (wireless name) then you should be
able to see it as a non-admin as well.

    5. Failing all of this, retry the Belkin client software and its
documentation for indication on non-admin issues or ways to use the above
    mentioned Windows wireless client.

Go to Start | Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services

Scroll down to Wireless Zero Configuration, right clicking properties, and Stopping the service in Service Status.

Do this on all the Pcs,

If this solves the problem, turn off Wireless Zero Configuration permanently by changing Startup type to Disabled
