Hi! Perhaps the distance between the two energy plugs (ZR6001 & ZC4001) is to big. Also it could be, that other systems plugged in the energy supply of your home are disturbing the signal. I've no really connectio0n problems. Length is about 20m of energy supply line. But I've problems with controlling DVD Player of marantz, directly connected to the ZR6001 (REMOTE IN/OUT correct connected) by ZC4001. There is no chance to start DVD Player which is in standby, also no chance to control playing with PLAY, STOP, PAUSE, NEXT, LAST etc. Perhaps you could help me with my problem? THX

Your server may be In Active mode, the FTP client chooses the port number that it will use to transfer data on and tells the server which client-side port to send the data to. It issues the PORT command to let the server know what IP address and Port number it will be listening on to receive the data from the server. PORT 192,168,1,254,4,15
The server then initiates the data transfer to the client, sending the data to the port number that it was told to by the client. Since the Server has initiated the connection, a stateful firewall will not allow the data to be sent back though. (No client has created the connection and so no respective connection exists.)
you have to make sure the remote machine is running the Client application. it is possible when the server rebooted, it didn't start it.
you need to get to the remote server and turn it on.
although I think Logmein is a great software, all the communication is going through the LogMeIn servers which slows things down. I suggest you install TeamViewer which is a direct connection and hence faster.
In computer networks, a proxy server is a server (a computer system or an application program) that acts as an intermediary for requests from clients seeking resources from other servers. A client connects to the proxy server, requesting some service, such as a file, connection, web page, or other resource, available from a different server. The proxy server evaluates the request according to its filtering rules. For example, it may filter traffic by IP address or protocol. If the request is validated by the filter, the proxy provides the resource by connecting to the relevant server and requesting the service on behalf of the client. A proxy server may optionally alter the client's request or the server's response, and sometimes it may serve the request without contacting the specified server. In this case, it 'caches' responses from the remote server, and returns subsequent requests for the same content directly.
A proxy server has a large variety of potential purposes, including:
1: To keep machines behind it anonymous (mainly for security. 2: To speed up access to resources (using caching). Web proxies are commonly used to cache web pages from a web server. 3: To apply access policy to network services or content, e.g. to block undesired sites 4: To log / audit usage, i.e. to provide company employee Internet usage reporting 5: To bypass security/ parental controls
