Hi, kenmore model 116.25812508 how does the single front wheel assembly come off. It needs to be replaced with part KC95CBZTZV06.

I found this on the Sears website, I'm just copying it. There are 2 possible solutions here.

It can be difficult disassembling parts on your own vacuum. I have taken some time to research your question here on the Manage My Life website and I noticed that someone else had asked a similar question with a posted response from an expert. I attached the link below if you are interested in viewing. I hope the link that I provided is helpful. I understand the issue you are having with removing the swivel wheel assembly.
From your reply I see that you have the other style design which is quite similar but with out the locking tabs exposed.
I don't always relate this way of removing the swivel wheel because people are afraid that they will damage the base of the vacuum. Use a large flat bladed screwdriver and get it up under the swivel plate and pry the wheel assembly off. The manufacturing engineers were of the opinion that this part would not break so I think when they designed the part they did not have in mind that someone may replace it. This makes it difficult to replace.

When installing the new one you will need to press it into the hole so it will snap into place.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to know how to replace the swivel caster on the vacuum base assembly.

To replace the caster you will need to use a pair of needle nose pliers and pinch back the clips and then drive the caster from the base.

I suggest that you support the base between two short pieces of wood so the caster can be pressed out the bottom without touching the support.

As you can see by the new one it will snap into place in the hole of the base after you remove the old one.

I hope these instructions will help.

Swivel wheels won't stay straight and the vac just skids.

Do you find that the wheels are jammed and won't rotate, thus causing the vac to go to theleft or right or just have to be dragged along forward?Try wd40 to see if it will allow the wheels to rotate freely.

How do I remove the swivel neck assembly from the vacuum case?

You will also need to remove the screws on the inside that hold the motor in place because part of the side support for the swivel is under the motor. Remember to disconnect wires coming from the swivel as well before you try to pull it out, so that you do not damage them. Hope this helps.

HOw do I replace the riccar 8850 hose?

Inside the bad compartment you can see the swivel portion sticking through. You will need to take a screwdriver and push in on the tabs on the swivel to release it so it can be removed from the body of the vacuum. The new hose ans swivel will just push into the hole and the tabs will hold it in.

Easiest way to attach spring to the back wheel base?

As long as the black piece still has the "nubs" on both sides at the turn in the "L" shape and the base isn't broke then this is going to be easy. There is a groove on the main unit the little wheel fits into that groove, the "nubs" fit into small holes on the swivel down piece, and the spring fits between the small side of the "L" shape and the bottom of the swivel down piece..

Need to know which attachment is for sweeping tile floors. Dog hair is getting out of control.

There is a large attachment with a swiveling elbow and wheels on it. That is the one for tile floors.

Assemble Swivel Assembly onto Kenmore Canister vac

Got this post off this web site...I just replaced my swivel and it worked:
To install a new swivel assembly, you will need 2 small, flat tip screw drivers. Unplug the vacuum. Push the screw drivers in between the hose and the collar where you see the seams in the plastic collar on the end where the hose enters the collar. This will release tabs that hold the collar to the swivel. Pry and pull the collar back over the hose and then pull the small screwdrivers out of the collar. Slide the collar back along the hose. Unplug the wiring connections from the hose. Pull the hose wires up and out of the holder on the swivel assembly. Lift the tabs on the side of the hose and pull it off of the swivel. Push the new swivel onto the hose. Align the hose wires and secure them in the holder. Plug the wires from the swivel into the hose wires (blue to blue, white to white). Secure the swivel wires into the wire holder on the swivel assembly. Push the collar back up the hose and onto the swivel with the plastic seams aligned with the tabs on each side of the hose. Snap the collar securely into place.
