Frozen touch pad

My new 3G iphone (literally 1-day old) already seems to be having a severe problem with frozen screens.  The touch screen on my iphone is frozen on the 'red bar' > slide to power off screen, not allowing my to slide the bar.  I have tried to power off on the top corner of the phone, and it does not power off the phone.  I have also tried to press the home button > does not work as well.  Need help!!!!!!!!!

Hi.

As you say that this is a one day old phone.
Then the best advice is definitely to go to the shop ask them for a replacement.
They will have to provide a replacement.
When you can get a replacement why repair it?

Regards
Faraz

Use my advice get a replacement if it is really one day old.
Why use a defective piece when you can get a new one!!!

Or if you don't want replacement then reset the phone maybe this will help.

I had the similar problem. Found this suggestion on the web to reset iPhone 3G to it's original settings. You may have to restore your media and data files after resetting. It's the only way out for me since I can't get beyond the "Apple Logo" thingy, and I am too lazy to bring it down to the Apple Store.

Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

Thank

Good luck.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have an iphone 3g and it has an enlarged frozen screen, ive tried everything incl both a hard and soft reset but wen i plug it in to pc or charger and turn it back on its still enlarged

This is all you need to do.
Double-tap on its screen using 3 fingers and it's all good.
To enlarge them again, just do the same motion.

Have you tried removing the battery and waiting for a minute and replacing it in the phone.
